ITS score trend on Industry indicator in THE WUR 2025<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

ITS Campus, ITS News \u2014\u00a0<\/strong>Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS)<\/a> continues to intensify efforts to maintain its international reputation. In the latest release of the Times Higher Education World University Rankings (THE WUR)<\/a> 2025 that has been announced, ITS experienced an increase in scores on four of the five assessment indicators.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Delivered by Senior Manager of World Class University (WCU) Affairs ITS Rulli Pratiwi Setiawan ST MSc PhD, THE WUR 2025 applies new rules in indicators and assessment weights compared to the previous year. Not only that, this year there are more than 2,000 universities from 115 countries in the world included in the ranking. “This number has increased from the previous year which was at 1,907 universities from 93 countries,” he said.<\/p>\n

Rulli revealed that in THE WUR 2025 ITS managed to obtain a total score of 24.2 points, up 1.4 points compared to last year. These points are the accumulation of the five assessment criteria, namely Teaching 25.5; Research Environment 10.7; Research Quality 28.6; Industry 41.2; and International Outlook 45.1. “The increase in score was obtained in four indicators, namely Teaching, Research Quality, Industry, and International Outlook,” he added.<\/p>\n

Furthermore, Rulli said, the indicator with the highest score increase is the Industry indicator. In its assessment, this indicator includes aspects of a university’s contribution to the industrial world through innovation, discovery, and commercial collaboration. This aspect will later be measured based on research income from the industrial sector and the number of patents citing a university’s research. “This proves ITS’s superior performance in the fields of industry and innovation,” he explained.<\/p>\n

Speaking of targets, Rulli said that ITS always tries to achieve better results than before. This is reflected in the many breakthroughs for new programs in order to improve ITS performance at the national and international levels. \u201cHowever, the 1501+ ranking in THE WUR 2025 indicates that ITS still needs to accelerate its performance,\u201d said the lecturer at the ITS Department of Urban and Regional Planning<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Rulli also said that the International Outlook<\/em> indicator should still be a target for further improvement in the future. This indicator covers the openness and international appeal of a university. It is measured by the ratio of international staff and students as well as international collaboration in research.<\/p>\n

As a step towards greater improvement, Rulli emphasized the importance of collaboration and innovation on every front. The Hiroshima University, Japan alumnus expects optimal synergy from all departments and bureaucracies to achieve maximum performance results. \u201cHopefully, the ITS ranking can continue to increase,\u201d he said optimistically.
