Kendaraan roda dua ini diciptakan oleh <a href=\"https:\/\/www.its.ac.id\/news\/2024\/09\/20\/raih-ipk-397-john-dinobatkan-sebagai-wisudawan-terbaik-its\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Jonathan Philbert<\/a>, alumnus <a href=\"http:\/\/its.ac.id\/despro\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Desain Produk Industri (Despro) ITS<\/a> guna memudahkan masyarakat dalam beraktivitas dan menyokong perkembangan moda transportasi nasional.<\/h4>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Menjelaskan tentang produk ciptaannya, pemuda yang akrab disapa John itu menuturkan bahwa Saka merupakan produk motor elektrik yang memiliki tujuan untuk memudahkan masyarakat dalam beraktivitas. Saka sendiri memiliki arti kokoh dalam bahasa Jawa yang merupakan bentuk penegasan akan unggulnya kualitas motor modular karya wisudawan sarjana terbaik ITS pada Wisuda ke-130, September lalu itu.<\/p>\n<p>Dijelaskan John, ide awal terciptanya Saka berasal dari keresahan salah satu pelaku Usaha Mikro Kecil Menengah (UMKM) asal Kota Bandung bernama Jinggowati. Sebagai UMKM yang bergerak di bidang makanan dan minuman, Jinggowati mengalami kesulitan dalam memilih moda transportasi. \u201cKesulitan ini disebabkan karena tidak adanya moda transportasi yang 100 persen cocok untuk proses bisnis Jinggowati,\u201d papar pemuda asal Bandung ini.<\/p>\n<p>Lebih lanjut, John mengungkapkan bahwa Jinggowati memerlukan moda transportasi yang memungkinkannya untuk membawa barang dengan bobot berat dan bentuk bervariasi. Kondisi ini didesak oleh salah satu aktivitas bisnis Jinggowati, yakni mengantar pesanan terkostumisasi. Menggunakan tiga komponen utama yakni <em>modular frame<\/em>, <em>quick release attachment clape<\/em>, dan <em>modular storage system<\/em>, John membuat fungsi modular yang ada pada motor dapat dirasakan dari rangka sampai ke bagian penyimpanan. Sehingga menjadikan Saka sebagai motor berpredikat fleksibel.<\/p>\n<p>Dengan adanya ketiga komponen tersebut, Saka dapat mencakup semua aktivitas bisnis yang dilakukan oleh UMKM Jinggowati dalam hal transportasi. Hasilnya, Saka dapat mengangkut barang hingga kapasitas 80 kilogram dengan bentuk yang bervariasi dan mampu meliuk-liuk melewati lorong sempit tanpa kesulitan sedikitpun.<\/p>\n<p>Sebagai sepeda listrik, Saka juga mampu menempuh jarak 130 kilometer dengan kecepatan maksimal 95 kilometer per jam.
