Kampus ITS, ITS News \u2014<\/strong> Kegagalan penilaian dan perawatan dok apung dapat menimbulkan risiko kecelakaan saat kapal bersandar. Menyikapi isu ini, Departemen Teknik Perkapalan<\/a> Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember<\/a> (DTP ITS) menggelar Pelatihan Assessment dan Maintenance Floating Dock bersama PT Dok dan Perkapalan Surabaya (PT DPS).<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Ketua tim pelaksana kegiatan Imam Baihaqi ST MT PhD menjelaskan, dok apung adalah bangunan konstruksi yang dipasang dari kompartemen kedap air di sisi-sisinya dengan kedua ujung terbuka. Sarana ini merupakan tempat untuk membangun serta melakukan reparasi kapal. Menurut Imam, apabila dok apung tidak terawat dengan baik maka dapat memengaruhi kondisi operasional dari perusahaan pemilik kapal. \u201cBahkan dapat menyebabkan kegagalan prosedur saat kapal bersandar,\u201d ujarnya.<\/p>\n

Untuk mengatasi isu tersebut, Laboratorium Teknologi dan Manajemen Produksi Kapal DTP ITS menginisiasi pelatihan ini. Imam menjelaskan, salah satu konsep yang diusung dalam perawatan dok apung adalah konsep keandalan. Konsep ini dinilai dapat memprediksi waktu suatu komponen dari dok apung mengalami kerusakan. Tak hanya itu, pendekatan ini juga dapat mengurangi potensi kegagalan serta memungkinkan pemeliharaan dok apung memiliki umur lebih panjang.<\/span><\/p>\n

Lebih lanjut, pelatihan ini juga membahas permasalahan nyata yang terjadi pada dok apung di PT DPS. Pembahasan tersebut meliputi tinjauan kerusakan pada komponen struktur, keterbatasan tenaga ahli bidang pemeliharaan, serta ketidakefektifan sistem monitoring dan deteksi. Selain itu, dipaparkan pula solusi dan langkah strategis terhadap permasalahan tersebut. \u201cTentunya untuk mendukung efisiensi produktivitas operasional perusahaan,\u201d tutur Imam.<\/span><\/p>\n

Dosen Fakultas Teknologi Kelautan (FTK) ITS<\/a> ini membagikan, kegiatan yang diselenggarakan pada 28 September lalu tersebut menorehkan antusiasme positif dari para peserta. Adapun peserta yang hadir meliputi personel dari berbagai divisi kapal PT DPS, mahasiswa tingkat akhir, hingga mahasiswa pascasarjana DTP ITS.\u00a0 Imam menyebut, respons ini tak terlepas dari sistem diskusi interaktif yang memberikan kebebasan peserta saling bertukar pengalaman dan pandangan selama pelatihan.<\/span><\/p>\n

Terakhir, Imam mengungkapkan, pelatihan ini sekaligus mewujudkan langkah ITS untuk berkontribusi mendorong kemajuan industri perkapalan yang lebih kompetitif. Menurutnya, seluruh materi pelatihan telah dikemas dengan efektif sehingga dapat diterapkan dalam sistem nyata operasional perusahaan, termasuk di PT DPS. “Semoga dapat membantu mewujudkan kontribusi terhadap pembangunan industri perkapalan nasional,” tutup alumnus ITS tersebut penuh harap. <\/span>(*)<\/b><\/p>\n
