Namun, dilansir dari laman bmkg.go.id <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Kepala Badan Meteorologi, Klimatologi, dan Geofisika (BMKG) Dwikorita Karnawati menyebutkan bahwa Indonesia tidak terdampak gelombang panas akibat kondisi lautnya yang hangat dan dapat menjadi \u2018<\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">buffe<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">r\u2019 atau penyangga dari kenaikan temperatur. Benarkah demikian?<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Menurut dosen <a href=\"http:\/\/its.ac.id\/biologi\">Departemen Biologi<\/a> Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS) Farid Kamal Muzaki SSi MSi, laut memang memiliki kemampuan untuk mengatur suhu bumi. Dijelaskannya, laut sebagai komponen biosfer dapat memindahkan suhu panas yang terdapat di ekuator menuju kutub bumi. \u201cLaut memiliki sifat lebih lambat dingin atau panas daripada daratan, sifat ini yang turut mempengaruhi suhu di darat,\u201d ungkapnya lebih lanjut.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Tak hanya itu, dosen yang akrab disapa Kamal ini menyebutkan bahwa Indonesia yang 65 persen wilayahnya berupa lautan, sedikit banyak dapat terhindar dari fenomena suhu panas yang berkepanjangan ini. Meskipun demikian, Kamal mengatakan bahwa potensi ini tidak hanya menjadi satu-satunya faktor agar Indonesia tidak terdampak oleh fenomena ini.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Kondisi geografis Indonesia yang terletak di lintang rendah juga menjadi salah satu faktor yang menyebabkan tidak terdampaknya gelombang panas ASEAN. Tak hanya itu, salah satu dampak dari kerusakan iklim yaitu pengasaman air laut turut menjadi sorotan dalam bahasan ini.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Pasalnya, lanjut Kamal, pengasaman air laut yang disebabkan oleh adanya penyerapan senyawa karbondioksida oleh laut tersebut dapat menurunkan pH lautan.
