ITS Campus, ITS News <\/b>\u2014\u00a0<\/b> Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS)<\/a> proves its commitment to providing the best facilities for 2024 Computer-Based Written Test (UTBK) participants. The General Director of Higher Education, Research, and Technology (Dirjen Diktiristek) directly inspected ITS\u2019 readiness as one of the UTBK centers during UTBK day four at ITS on Saturday (4\/5) afternoon.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

During his visit, the General Director of Diktiristek Prof Dr rer nat Abdul Haris MSc visited the Digital Education Service Laboratory and the Actuarial Risk Management and Data Analytics Laboratory in Menara Sains or Tower 1 ITS. The man, who is often called Haris, said that overall, the readiness and availability of facilities at ITS are sufficiently qualified. \u201cIt can even be categorized as very good,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

One aspect that Haris highlighted in this monitoring was the facilities for participants with disabilities. Although no disabled candidates enrolled for the exam at ITS, according to Haris, the facilities available at the UTBK center are quite complete and ready to use. The facilities consist of wheelchair lanes, elevators, signposts with braille, and guides on the ground floor.<\/p>\n

Technically and supervisionally, the Professor of Geophysical Sciences at Universitas Indonesia highlighted ITS\u2019s alertness in preparing various efforts and preventive actions to overcome various undesirable things. Haris considers this step fundamental to ensuring the continuity of UTBK so that it is free from fraud and interference.<\/p>\n

On the same occasion, Acting Secretary of the Directorate General of Higher Education, Prof Tjitjik Srie Tjahjandarie, PhD, who accompanied, greatly appreciated ITS, which continues to improve yearly. Tjitjik assessed that the integration of ITS, the central committee for the National Selection of New Student Admissions (SNPMB), and other UTBK-implementing universities has been well implemented and continues to show a positive trend.<\/p>\n

In the future, Tjitjik hopes that, as a UTBK-implementing institution, ITS can improve its quality in various ways. ITS, which this year accommodated 9,936 UTBK participants, is expected to be able to increase capacity. \u201cSo that more prospective students can participate in university admission selection,\u201d said Tjitjik.<\/p>\n

Responding to this, ITS Chancellor Ir Bambang Pramujati ST MSc Eng PhD revealed that ITS has made various efforts to optimize its quality in organizing UTBK. Regarding capacity, Bambang said ITS already has a clear and measurable projection to add facilities, including rooms, internet, and computers.<\/span><\/p>\n

Finally, Bambang hopes that the UTBK experience at ITS will positively impact all participants. As the former ITS Vice Chancellor IV emphasized, ITS will continue to improve and perfect the system, technical, and all existing aspects. \u201cSo that ITS is ready to welcome the nation\u2019s best prospective leaders,\u201d Bambang concluded.
