Kampus ITS, ITS News \u2013 <\/strong><\/span>Saat ini, menjaga kesehatan mental yang baik menjadi perhatian khusus di masyarakat, terutama di kalangan mahasiswa yang sedang marak kasusnya. Menanggapi fenomena tersebut, Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS)<\/a> bersama Ikatan Orangtua Mahasiswa (Ikoma) ITS membentuk Student Health Care Center (SHCC) yang diresmikan di Gedung Tower 2 ITS, Kamis (1\/2).<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Berangkat dari banyaknya aspirasi mahasiswa ITS, Ketua Ikoma ITS Dr Ir Wahid Wahyudi MT mengungkapkan bahwa dalam sebulan terdapat lebih dari 50 mahasiswa ITS yang dinilai memerlukan konsultasi kesehatan mental. Data tersebut diperoleh melalui diskusi yang dilakukan bersama dengan perwakilan mahasiswa ITS. \u201cDari aspirasi tersebut, Ikoma bersama ITS berkolaborasi dengan DearAstrid dalam meluncurkan layanan SHCC ini,\u201d paparnya.<\/p>\n

SHCC menjadi salah satu cara yang bisa dilakukan ITS dalam menangani permasalahan mental yang kerap dialami oleh mahasiswa. Berdasarkan banyaknya mahasiswa yang dinilai mengalami gangguan Kesehatan mental tersebut, ITS melihat urgensi dikembangkannya layanan ini guna mencegah terjadinya kasus yang tidak diinginkan tersebut.<\/p>\n

Kepala Ikoma ITS Dr Ir Wahid Wahyudi MT turut memberikan sambutan peresmian Student Health Care Center (SHCC) ITS yang diharapkan mampu mengatasi permasalahan kesehatan mental para\u00a0mahasiswa\u00a0ITS<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Selaras dengan data tersebut, Rektor ITS Prof Dr Ir Mochamad Ashari MEng memaparkan, sebanyak 70 persen mahasiswa ITS saat ini diperkirakan mengalami stres, baik ringan maupun berat. Untuk menangani hal tersebut, layanan SHCC akan difungsikan sebagai penanganan dini sehingga dapat ditemukan akar permasalahan penyebab stres mahasiswa tersebut.<\/p>\n

Mengenai jadwal operasi layanan di SHCC, Ashari menyampaikan bahwa fasilitas layanan konsultasi akan dibuka mulai 18 Maret 2024. Layanan ini dapat digunakan dengan cara melakukan booking<\/em> jadwal terlebih dahulu dengan pakar psikolog yang ada. Selain mahasiswa, tenaga kependidikan (tendik) dan dosen juga bisa memanfaatkan fasilitas konsultasi tersebut sesuai dengan jadwal yang ada.<\/p>\n

Mengikuti kegiatan peresmian SHCC tersebut, pada kesempatan yang sama juga digelar talkshow<\/em> bertajuk Working with Gen Z<\/em>. Acara dihadiri langsung oleh para mahasiswa ITS yang diwakilkan oleh setiap himpunan mahasiswa departemen (HMD) yang ada di ITS. \u201cAcara ini bertujuan untuk memberikan gambaran detail tentang pentingnya kesehatan mental, khususnya di dunia kerja,\u201d tutur rektor yang juga Guru Besar Teknik Elektro<\/a> ini.<\/p>\n

Dalam hal ini, Ashari menginginkan agar semua pihak dapat memanfaatkan keberadaan fasilitas ini dengan baik. Ia juga berharap segala permasalahan mental yang dialami oleh sivitas akademika ITS dapat diselesaikan berkat hadirnya SHCC di lingkungan kampus. \u201cKami berharap agar dengan adanya layanan ini dapat membantu meningkatkan prestasi mahasiswa nangtinya,\u201d tuturnya mengakhiri.
