Menyikapi hal ini, tim peneliti <a href=\"http:\/\/its.ac.id\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS)<\/a> melakukan inovasi dengan mengaplikasikan sumur resapan menggunakan tangki modular. Proyek ini tidak hanya meningkatkan efisiensi pengelolaan air, tetapi juga memberikan dampak positif terhadap mitigasi banjir.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Ketua tim penelitian, S Kamilia Aziz ST MT menjelaskan, peningkatan volume air selama musim hujan yang melampaui kapasitas saluran drainase dapat mengakibatkan genangan air. Dengan berkerjasama bersama Dinas Pekerjaan Umum Sumber Daya Air (PU SDA) Provinsi Jawa Timur, timnya berkolaborasi untuk menangani keluhan warga terkait masalah air yang meresahkan baik di dalam rumah maupun ruang kelas. &#8220;Penggunaan metode tangki modular ini merupakan yang pertama kali diterapkan di Jawa Timur,&#8221; tambahnya.<\/p>\n<p>Dalam penjelasannya, dosen <a href=\"http:\/\/its.ac.id\/tis\">Departemen Teknik Infrastruktur Sipil<\/a> menyebutkan bahwa penggunaan tangki modular polipropilena efektif untuk proses infiltrasi air hujan. Sumur resapan ini memungkinkan air ditampung di dalam modul sebelum diserapkan ke tanah. Bagian atas sumur tertutup dan kokoh, dapat digunakan untuk aktivitas, serta mampu menahan beban hingga 40 ton.<\/p>\n<p>Tak hanya menggunakan tangki modular polipropilena, sumur resapan ini juga memanfaatkan kerikil di bagian dasar untuk membantu mengisi kembali aquifer atau proses pengisian air tanah. Pasir tersebut juga berfungsi sebagai penopang <em>paving block<\/em> agar tidak mudah bergeser, dengan kolaborasi material untuk optimalisasi serapan air dan penghematan anggaran. Kamilia menyampaikan tantangan dalam menentukan lokasi sumur resapan di SDN 3 Tanjungrejo, Malang karena kondisi tanah yang lebih rendah dari jalan.<\/p>\n<p>Sumur resapan yang memiliki kapasitas 22,5 meter kubik dengan dimensi kolam 5,5 x 3,3 meter, ditempatkan di titik terendah kawasan sekolah untuk menghindari genangan. Untuk mempercepat infiltrasi air ke tanah, dibentuk kolam filter dengan geotextile dan lubang pengamatan untuk mengontrol ketinggian air. Lubang pengamatan tersebut tersebar di titik-titik strategis, juga berfungsi sebagai saluran untuk memompa air keluar dari kolam resapan.<\/p>\n<p>Beralih ke daerah pemukiman penduduk, Kamilia menjelaskan desain sumur resapan mengikuti kondisi eksisting jalan yang lebarnya kurang dari satu meter. Tangki modular dipasang memanjang sejauh 30 m mengikuti bentuk jalan yang diapit oleh rumah penduduk. Dapat menampung hingga 18 meter kubik air, sumur resapan ini juga dilengkapi filter kecil yang tersebar di 20 titik sepanjang sumur resapan.<\/p>\n<p>Kamilia meyakini bahwa konsep sumur resapan ini dapat diterapkan di wilayah dengan masalah serupa, terutama di daerah perkotaan yang kekurangan resapan air.
