Kampus ITS, ITS News \u2013 <\/strong><\/span>Guna mewujudkan kemajuan transportasi dan teknologi kemaritiman, Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS)<\/a> bersama IDSurvey meresmikan ruang kolaborasi dalam kegiatan IDSurvey Goes to Campus. Acara ini merupakan perayaan tahun kedua terjalinnya kerja sama antara IDSurvey dan ITS yang digelar di National Ship Design and Engineering Center (NaSDEC) ITS, Kamis (20\/12).<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Dalam sambutannya, Kepala Kantor Kesyahbandaran dan Otoritas Pelabuhan (KSOP) Tanjung Perak Capt Heru Susanto MM menjelaskan, ruang kolaborasi ini nantinya difungsikan sebagai tempat layanan pemangku sektor industri kemaritiman dan juga sebagai sarana pengembangan akademik dan riset penelitian di bidang teknologi serta transportasi maritim. \u201cHal ini merupakan salah contoh implementasi UU No. 17 Tahun 2008 tentang Kelautan,\u201d ungkap Heru.<\/p>\n

Lebih jelasnya, sambung Heru, ruang kolaborasi ini juga bertujuan untuk menciptakan transportasi laut yang modern dan efisien guna mempermudah akses ke pulau-pulau terluar, terpencil, dan tertinggal (3T). \u201cRuang kolaborasi ini bisa mengurangi ketergantungan kita (bangsa Indonesia, red) dalam bidang maritim terhadap produk dari luar negeri,\u201d jelasnya.<\/p>\n

Selaras dengan Heru, Rektor ITS Prof Dr Ir Mochamad Ashari MEng menambahkan bahwa latar belakang dibangunnya ruang kolaborasi ini berawal dari adanya kesulitan para mahasiswa dan dosen dalam mengembangkan inovasi serta penelitian di bidang kemaritiman. Inovasi yang seharusnya dapat diwujudkan tersebut harus terhenti di titik publikasi karena proses komersialisasi yang membutuhkan sertifikasi dan perizinan yang memakan waktu lama.<\/p>\n

Ashari juga menyampaikan, ruang kolaborasi ini dibangun dengan tujuan sebagai wadah berkembang bagi mahasiswa dan dosen di Indonesia dalam menginovasikan teknologi kemaritiman dan transportasi laut. Ruang ini memiliki luas 15 x 15 meter. Di samping ruang tersebut juga terdapat ruangan kantor Ikatan Perusahaan Industri Kapal dan Sarana Lepas Pantai Indonesia (Iperindo), dan berbagai ruang kantor dari industri kemaritiman lainnya.<\/p>\n

Pada kesempatan yang sama, ITS bersama IDSurvey juga menghelat talkshow yang membahas terkait tugas dan peran Biro Klasifikasi Indonesia (BKI). Dalam talkshow tersebut juga memaparkan tentang pentingnya pemanfaatan layanan Testing<\/em>, Inspection<\/em>, and Certification<\/em> (TIC) dari BKI bagi para pemangku kepentingan di industri maritim di Indonesia.
