Namun, operasional RTG memerlukan penggantian pelek ban secara berkala. Mengatasi ketidakefisienan tersebut, Tim<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.its.ac.id\/kkn\/id\/\"> <span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Kuliah Kerja Nyata<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> (KKN)<\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/its.ac.id\"> <span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS)<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> ciptakan alat yang membantu proses penggantian ban RTG menjadi lebih cepat dan efisien.<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Ketua tim<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.its.ac.id\/kkn\/id\/\"> <span style=\"font-weight: 400\">KKN ITS<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">, Ir Arino Anzip MEng Sc, menyebut bahwa alat ini merupakan hasil observasi timnya di Pelabuhan Tanjung Perak, Surabaya. Proses dimulai dengan dihisap dan ditekannya udara oleh kompresor sehingga suhu dan tekanan dari udara mengalir ke <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">pressure booster<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">. Pada tahap ini, tekanan ditingkatkan hingga pada ketinggian yang diinginkan.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Setelah itu, udara yang memiliki tekanan daya dorong dikeluarkan melalui ujung alat. Daya dorong tersebut yang akan mengetuk pelek ban RTG sehingga bisa keluar dari bingkai ban. \u201cDengan kata lain, alat ini menggunakan prinsip sistem hidrolik,\u201d Jelas dosen<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.its.ac.id\/tmi\/\"> <span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Departemen Teknik Mesin Industri (DTMI) ITS<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> tersebut.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Arino melihat, alat ini memiliki beberapa kelebihan yang menjawab ketidakergonomisan penggantian ban RTG. Kelebihan pertama mengenai kebutuhan tenaga kerja. Diklaim secara portabel, alat ini hanya memerlukan sedikit ruang dalam penggunaannya. Tentu hal tersebut berbeda dari alat konvensional yang memakan ruang cukup lebar. Walaupun kecil dan bersifat portabel, Arino mantap berkata bahwa alat ini memiliki daya dorong setara dengan alat konvensional, yakni 10 ton force.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Selain kedua kelebihan tersebut, ada pula kelebihan dalam hal efisiensi waktu. Alat yang dirancang oleh 10 mahasiswa dan 5 dosen ini dapat menghemat proses pemasangan pelek ban RTG sampai 75%. Lebih jelasnya, proses yang pada mulanya dilakukan selama 8 jam, kini cukup dikerjakan selama 2 jam saja. \u201cmesin ini sangat efisien,\u201d ucapnya bangga.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Meski menggunakan prinsip sederhana, proses perancangan alat melingkupi survey alat dan bahan yang mampu menstimulus daya dorong. Arino pun menjelaskan bahwa alat ini akan diuji coba langsung di PT BIMA pada akhir november mendatang. Ke depannya, alat ini diharapkan dapat diperbanyak dan dikomersialisasikan lebih luas.
