Menurut Ketua Panitia<br \/>\nTCC, Mufqi Ikhwanus Shofa, tujuan dari kompetisi ini adalah untuk mengenalkan<br \/>\ndunia teknik sipil di kalangan pelajar SMA\/SMK sederajat, terutama dalam<br \/>\nkonstruksi tower.<\/p>\n<p style=&quot;text-align: justify;&quot; class=&quot;MsoNormal&quot;><span>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; <\/span>Sejak<br \/>\npagi, peserta TCC memenuhi halaman kampus D3 Teknik Sipil ITS. Setelah<br \/>\nregistrasi dan pengecekan perlengkapan yang dibutuhkan dalam lomba, seperti<br \/>\nbor, <em>hair drayer<\/em> dan alat lainnya,<br \/>\nkemudian peserta yang terdiri dari 43 Tim dibagi dalam 7 ruang. Waktu yang<br \/>\ndiberikan untuk menyelesaikan pembuatan konstruksi tower ini adalah 4,5 jam.<br \/>\nSebelum pembebanan dilaksanakan, ada peserta yang tiba-tiba mengundurkan diri.<br \/>\n\u00e2\u20ac\u0153Saya mengundurkan diri karena tower saya belum jadi, selain itu saya mengikuti<br \/>\nlomba ini untuk tambah pengalaman.\u00e2\u20ac\u009d Ujar siswa SMA 1 Manyar, Gresik. <\/p>\n<p style=&quot;text-align: justify;&quot; class=&quot;MsoNormal&quot;><span>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; <\/span>Pada<br \/>\nsaat pengujian beban, konstruksi tower dari tim SMKN 5 Surabaya berhasil<br \/>\nmembuat Juri, Panitia, dan penonton terpukau. Betapa tidak, konstruksi yang<br \/>\nmereka buat berhasil menahan beban hingga 297,25 kilogram. Karena panitia sebagian besar adalah mahasiswa 2009, jadi<br \/>\nmasih banyak kekurangan.
