Hasil produk ini berhasil diciptakan atas dukungan langsung dari ITS dan mitra perusahaan yakni <a href=\"https:\/\/www.its.ac.id\/news\/2022\/05\/17\/bersama-panasonic-its-siap-gencarkan-riset-ekosistem-berteknologi-5g\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Panasonic<\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Kepala Departemen Despro ITS Bambang Tristiyono ST MSi menyatakan, produk ini dilahirkan sebagai upaya ITS untuk mengurangi potensi pencemaran udara di dalam ruangan. Dilansir dari World Health Organization (WHO), setiap tahunnya sekitar 3,2 juta orang mengalami kematian prematur yang disebabkan oleh penyakit yang terkait dengan pencemaran udara di dalam ruangan. \u201cHal tersebut dapat terjadi karena zaman ini produktivitas di dalam ruangan lebih besar daripada di luar ruangan,\u201d ungkapnya.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Lebih lanjut, Bambang memaparkan bahwa solusi dari permasalahan tersebut tentunya menghadirkan <em>air purifier<\/em>\u00a0dalam ruangan. Modul penjernih udara terbuat dari plastik Akrilonitril Butadiena Stiren (ABS), sedangkan untuk modul mikroalga terbuat dari tabung akrilik bening. Ohau tersebut ke depannya dapat dioperasikan melalui aplikasi yang saat ini sedang dikembangkan oleh ITS. \u201cAplikasi ini nanti diperkirakan dapat mengendalikan suhu, intensitas penyaringan, hingga memeriksa keadaan alat,\u201d terang Bambang.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Berkolaborasi dengan <a href=\"http:\/\/its.ac.id\/biologi\">Departemen Biologi<\/a> dan <a href=\"http:\/\/its.ac.id\/telektro\">Teknik Elektro<\/a> ITS juga, produk ini ditujukan untuk pengguna yang tinggal di daerah berpolusi dengan iklim panas. Kompetisi tersebut diselenggarakan oleh Aliansi Desain Produk Industri Indonesia (ADPII).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Bambang berharap produk yang bermanfaat ini dapat dikembangkan lebih jauh lagi dari segi fungsi dan estetikanya.
