Kampus ITS, ITS News \u2014 <\/b>Menjadi satu-satunya perwakilan dari Asia Pasifik dan Timur Tengah, tim Sapuangin Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS)<\/a> berhasil menyabet juara tiga dunia pada gelaran Shell Eco-Marathon (SEM) World 2023<\/a> di Bangalore, India. Perolehan ini berhasil mencatatkan nama tim Sapuangin ITS sebagai mobil urban tercepat di kategori Internal Combustion Engine (ICE).<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Setelah mengalahkan 12 tim dari berbagai negara, tim Sapuangin ITS kembali melebarkan sayapnya di kancah internasional setelah prestasi terakhirnya di Mandalika, Lombok Juli lalu. Kali ini, tim mobil hemat energi ITS tersebut unjuk gigi lewat kecepatan dan efisien bahan bakar yang dihasilkan oleh mobil <\/span>Sapuangin XI Evo 3<\/a> pada Final Race World Championship 2023.<\/span><\/p>\n

Kru External Relations Sapuangin ITS, Aliffia Nur Arinda menuturkan bahwa kemenangan ini lahir usai timnya memupuk poin dari rangkaian kompetisi yang berlangsung mulai 10 Oktober 2023. Rangkaian kompetisi ini mencakup <\/span>Mileage Challenge<\/span><\/i> dengan torehan 42 poin, dan 18 poin dari pengujian <\/span>time trial<\/span><\/i>.<\/span><\/p>\n

Sebelumnya pun, Sapuangin telah berlaga pada <\/span>Regional Championship<\/span><\/i><\/a> di Mandalika dengan torehan delapan poin, \u201cKami mendapatkan 68 poin secara keseluruhan,\u201d tuturnya.<\/span><\/p>\n

Menilik lebih rinci, Rinda menerangkan, kompetisi <\/span>Mileage Challenge <\/span><\/i>menguji ketangguhan dan efisiensi bahan bakar mobil hemat energi. Pada kategori ini, tim Sapuangin ITS berhasil memamerkan keunggulannya dengan mengefisiensikan penggunaan bahan bakar sebesar 281 kilometer per liter. <\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cTim Sapuangin ITS meraih posisi kedua pada babak ini,\u201d ujarnya.<\/span><\/p>\n

Lain halnya dengan pengujian <\/span>time trial,<\/span><\/i> babak ini mengharuskan mobil dari setiap tim memutari satu lap dengan waktu tercepat. Bak kilat, m<\/span>obil <\/span>Sapuangin XI Evo 3 menunjukkan performa gemilangnya dengan menduduki posisi kelima pada hari itu. \u201cKami berhasil sampai dengan perolehan waktu satu menit 37 detik,\u201d ungkapnya.<\/span><\/p>\n

Mahasiswa Departemen Teknik Material dan Metalurgi itu melanjutkan, <\/span>pada 12 Oktober 2023 digelar final race\u00a0<\/em>yang diikuti oleh segenap tim dari tiga benua yang berpartisipasi, yaitu Asia, Amerika, dan Eropa.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cSemua tim bersiap di garis <\/span>start <\/span><\/i>dan melalui lap sebanyak 10 kali dengan panjang lintasan 904 meter. Final race<\/em> ini sangat menegangkan karena kami mulai start<\/em> dari posisi kelima<\/span>\u201d beber Rinda.<\/span><\/p>\n

Adrenalin tim Sapuangin ITS semakin terpacu kala posisi mobil hemat energi andalannya mengalami ketertinggalan. Dengan demikian, mereka harus melaju kencang dari urutan terakhir agar tak mengalami kekalahan.<\/span><\/p>\n

Demi mengharumkan nama Ibu Pertiwi, tim mobil hemat energi ITS ini perlahan-lahan mengejar ketertinggalan hingga berhasil menduduki posisi ketiga.<\/p>\n

Rinda mengatakan, kemenangan tim Sapuangin ITS meraih juara tiga dunia menjadi kebahagiaan dan kebanggaan luar biasa bagi ia dan tim. Pencapaian ini merupakan buah dari kerja keras dan usaha yang mereka tempa selama tiga bulan ke belakang. <\/span><\/p>\n
