Perwakilan dari ITS antara lain Dr Ketut Buda Arthana selaku ketua International Office, Prof Ir Gamantyo Hendrantoro MEng PhD selaku sekretaris I LPPM ITS, dan juga perwakilan dari masing-masing fakultas yang ada di ITS.<\/p>\n<p>Penawaran <em>double degree <\/em>PhD dari Murdoch University sebelumnya selama 4 tahun. Tetapi dalam pembahasan tersebut berhasil disepakati lama studi yang diikuti nantinya selama tiga atau 3,5 tahun di ITS dan 1,5 tahun di Murdoch University. \u00e2\u20ac\u0153Kita keberatan kalau lama studi untuk PhD selama 4 tahun,\u00e2\u20ac\u009d jelas Ketut.<\/p>\n<p>Pembahasan penjajakan kerjasama tersebut mengarah kepada empat jurusan, yaitu jurusan Teknik Elektro dan Teknik Informatika dengan departemen<em> Game Technology and Multimedia<\/em>, jurusan Statistika dengan departemen <em>Mathematic<\/em>, jurusan Teknik Lingkungan, dan jurusan Teknik Kimia.<\/p>\n<p>Pertemuan tersebut belum sampai pada penandatanganan <em>memorandum of understanding <\/em>(MoU). \u00e2\u20ac\u009dKemungkinan kerjasamanya hampir pasti, dan sepertinya dalam waktu dekat ini (kerjasama, red) sudah direkomendasikan Dikti,\u00e2\u20ac\u009d lanjut dosen Teknik Sistem Perkapalan. <\/p>\n<p>Meskipun sudah mengarah pada kerjasama di beberapa jurusan, pertemuan tersebut belum membahas rincian detil kerjasama yang nanti akan diwujudkan. Seperti kerjasama penelitian antar dosen-dosen atau profesor ITS dengan Murdoch University.<br \/>Selain itu, <em>double degree<\/em> yang ditawarkan Murdoch University sementara masih khusus untuk PhD. <\/p>\n<p>\u00e2\u20ac\u009dSementara ini baru PhD, itu yang memungkinkan dilakukan untuk sekarang ini,\u00e2\u20ac\u009d ujarnya. Tetapi tidak menutup kemungkinan kerjasama <em>double degree<\/em> untuk S2 juga bisa dilakukan.<\/p>\n<p>Kerjasama ITS dan Murdoch University ini diharapkan bisa menjadi jembatan bagi dosen-dosen atau profesor dari perguruan tinggi yang ada di Indonesia, terutama yang di wilayah timur Indonesia untuk melanjutkan studi atau melakukan kerjasama riset dengan Murdoch University.<\/p>\n<p>Selain dengan ITS, kunjungan Murdoch University ini juga dalam rangka penjajakan kerjasama dengan perguruan tinggi lain yang ada di Indonesia.
