Inovasi tersebut akhirnya menghasilkan raihan juara pertama dalam Lomba Karya Tulis Ilmiah Mahasiswa (LKTIM) Chemistry Fun Days (CFD) 2023 di <a href=\"https:\/\/www.unpad.ac.id\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Universitas Padjadjaran<\/a>, Bandung, Sabtu (27\/5) lalu.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Tim ini terdiri dari Sarazen Shalahuddin Akbar, Immanuel Nathanael Lumban Gaol, dan Irma Fitriani. Mereka menyadari bahwa Indonesia sebagai penghasil kelapa sawit terbesar di dunia memiliki potensi untuk memanfaatkan dan mengolah limbah kelapa sawit menjadi energi terbarukan, salah satunya ialah limbah POME. \u201cMelalui proses anaerobik nantinya limbah POME ini dapat diolah menjadi biogas,\u201d jelas Sarazen, Ketua Tim LKTIM CFD 2023 dari <a href=\"https:\/\/www.its.ac.id\/\">ITS<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Lebih lanjut, Sarazen menyampaikan bahwa limbah POME mengandung gas-gas seperti metana, karbon dioksida, dan sebagainya. Namun, untuk menghasilkan biogas yang berkualitas, komponen utama yang diperlukan ialah gas metana. Penggabungan ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan performa yang lebih baik. Kelebihan yang dimiliki pada teknologi membran hibrida ini di antaranya adalah kinerja pemisahan yang optimal, stabilitas yang baik, kekuatan mekanik yang bagus, harga yang terjangkau, dan mudah diaplikasikan.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Karena inovasi ini menggunakan pendekatan teoritis dan sistematis, Sarazen mengungkapkan, tantangan dalam pembuatan inovasi ini ialah mengkaji beberapa teori dan studi literatur, serta mengumpulkan data yang membutuhkan waktu yang tidak lama.
