Beranjak dari hal tersebut, tim mahasiswa Departemen Teknik Sipil Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS) berinovasi dalam merancang desain jembatan yang memiliki ketahanan tinggi terhadap bencana alam.<\/span><\/b><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Mereka adalah Moch Choirul Akbar Majid, Vincent Hans Siputta, dan Gregorius Alexander yang tergabung dalam tim Ergo dan berhasil mengembangkan desain jembatan dengan sebutan Jembatan Molihuto. Salah satu anggota tim yang akrab disapa Akbar mengungkapkan bahwa mereka menggunakan studi kasus Jembatan Molintogupo dari Desa Lombongo, Kecamatan Sumawa Tengah, Kabupaten Bone Bolango, Gorontalo.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Pada inovasinya, jembatan Molihuto didesain dengan prinsip mitigasi bencana sehingga mampu bertahan apabila terjadi bencana alam. Akbar menyampaikan bahwa kawasan Jembatan Molintogupo seringkali terjadi bencana alam banjir bandang dan gempa bumi yang mengakibatkan jembatan tersebut rawan roboh. \u201cOleh sebab itu, perlu dilakukan perencanaan pembangunan jembatan dengan mengantisipasi bencana alam tersebut,\u201d jelasnya.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Dalam perancangannya, jembatan ini\u00a0 menggunakan tipe jembatan pelengkung. Akbar menyebutkan, jembatan tipe pelengkung memiliki beberapa keunggulan seperti memiliki tingkat ketahanan yang tinggi serta mampu menahan beban yang besar. Biotextile merupakan teknologi lapisan pelindung tanah yang dikembangkan oleh Badan Riset dan Inovasi Nasional (BRIN) pada tahun 2022. Lapisan ini berfungsi sebagai metode stabilisasi tanah untuk mencegah laju erosi pada permukaan tanah. Cara kerja teknologi ini yaitu dengan menurunkan debit air mengalir pada permukaan sehingga tidak akan terjadi longsor.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Tidak berhenti disitu, Jembatan Molihuto menggunakan struktur beton yang terbuat dari campuran <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">fly ash <\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">dan abu sekam padi untuk meningkatkan kualitas serta ketahanan beton. Laki-laki asal Jombang ini menjelaskan penggunaan <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">fly ash<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> berfungsi sebagai bahan pengikat dalam beton serta membantu beton agar tahan korosi. Sementara itu, abu sekam padi berperan sebagai bahan penguat beton sehingga memiliki ketahanan yang lebih tinggi.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Perencanaan desain jembatan ini juga menerapkan pembangunan yang berkelanjutan. Akbar mengungkapkan bahwa penggunaan beton campuran juga bertujuan untuk menekan emisi karbon yang dihasilkan oleh beton sehingga lebih ramah lingkungan.
