Akui hobi berkuliah, Helmi yang berhasil lulus di usia 69 tahun 8 bulan ini dinobatkan sebagai wisudawan tertua pada Wisuda ke-127 ITS.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Sejak sektor konstruksi Indonesia mulai berkembang pesat di tahun 1980, Helmi terus berupaya menekuni bidang tersebut hingga 35 tahun lamanya. Ia mengungkapkan, setelah era reformasi, peraturan dalam bidang konstruksi terus mengalami perubahan. \u201cDari situ, saya merasa terpacu untuk memperbarui ilmu yang saya miliki, yakni dengan menempuh perkuliahan kembali,\u201d lanjutnya.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Tidak tanggung-tanggung, gelar MMT yang didapatnya di Wisuda ke-127 ini berhasil menggenapkan gelar magisternya yang ke-10. Tak hanya itu, laki-laki kelahiran Tanjung Pinang ini juga diketahui telah menyandang dua gelar doktor. \u201cDengan terus menuntut ilmu, ada banyak kesempatan yang terbuka bagi saya, salah satunya dalam bergaul dengan rekan yang lebih muda,\u201d ungkapnya.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Lebih lanjut, laki-laki yang mengabdi selama 30 tahun di Pekerjaan Umum Bina Marga ini mengatakan, belajar hingga lanjut usia membuka peluang karier baginya. Ia berujar, terkadang cukup sulit untuk dapat mengikuti perkembangan teknologi dalam dunia perkuliahan, terlebih di usianya sekarang. \u201cBeruntungnya, kebersamaan dengan mahasiswa magister lain membuat saya merasa terbantu,\u201d ujar laki-laki yang memiliki hobi bersepeda ini.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Untuk menyelesaikan studi magisternya, Helmi mengangkat tesis berjudul <em>Analisis Pengaruh Protokol Pencegahan Penyebaran Covid-19 terhadap Keterpaparan Pekerja Konstruksi<\/em>. Dalam penelitiannya, ia mengungkapkan keprihatinan terhadap banyaknya pekerja di sektor konstruksi yang terdampak pandemi Covid-19. \u201cMobilitas tenaga kerja di konstruksi sangat dinamis sehingga rentan terhadap risiko kesehatan terinfeksi Covid-19,\u201d jelasnya.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Dengan bimbingan Ir I Putu Artama Wiguna MT PhD, bapak satu anak ini berhasil merampungkan penelitiannya dengan. \u201cIlmu bak investasi berharga yang harus kita tanam dan tumbuhkan.
