Hanya saja, lanjutnya, seminar-seminar tersebut masih bersifat kuliah tamu.<\/p>\n<p>&quot;Untuk kali ini kita mengadakan workshop. Dan materinya lebih fokus pada bidang material magnetik mengingat pemanfaataannya yang cukup banyak dalam kehidupan sehari-hari,&quot; tegas peneliti yang pernah aktif di laboratorium milik RIKEN ini.<\/p>\n<p>Workshop On Functional Magnetic Materials ini menghadirkan sebelas pembicara. Mereka memaparkan penilitiannya masing-masing terkait <em>muon science<\/em> dan material superkonduktor. Seperti Prof Yoh Kohori dari Chiba University yang menjabarkan bahwa nuclear magnetic resonance (NRM) merupakan salah satu metode untuk untuk mempelajari magnetik dan material superkonduktor. <\/p>\n<p>&quot;NMR merupakan metode mendeteksi magnet ataupun <em>ferromagnetic material<\/em> melalui pengenalan medan yang terdapat pada material tersebut,&quot; tutur Yoh.<\/p>\n<p>Selain Yoh, ada juga peneliti dari Osaka University, Dr Takehito Nakano yang memapaparkan kemagnetan bahan alam dari logam alkali, Prof Syo Matsumura dari Kyushu University yang menggunakan fasilitas ultratinggi untuk material macroskopi, dan&nbsp; Senior Research Scientist RIKEN Dr Isao Watanabe dengan bahasan Muon Spin Relaxation-nya. Tambah lagi presentasi dari Dr Yasuyuki Ishii, ahli sains Tokyo University yang memaparkan material magnetic dengan tekanan tinggi. <\/p>\n<p>Tak hanya speaker dari Jepang, beberapa pemateri dalam negeri pun turut mengisi forum ilmiah ini. Diantaranya adalah Dr Didik Prasetyoko dan Prof Dr Suasmoro. Prof Dr Suasmoro dalam workshop ini memaparkan bahasan tentang cacat yang terdapat dalam beberapa material di bawah tekanan Curie.<\/p>\n<p>Bagi orang yang tak berkecimpung dalam dunia penelitian, apa yang dipaparkan para ilmuwan tersebut mungkin belum dapat dirasakan faedahnya. &quot;Tapi inilah dunia sains, penelitian dimulai sekarang dan akan dimanfaatkan untuk masa mendatang,&quot; tutur Darminto. Saat ini pun, imbuhnya, material magnetik sudah merambah dunia medis. Salah satu contohnya adalah sensor pendeteksi denyut jantung janin.<\/p>\n<p>Untuk kerja sama dengan RIKEN sendiri, sebenarnya bukan ITS saja yang terlibat. RIKEN juga menggandeng ITB dan Universitas Padjajaran (Unpad). Menurut Darmanto, jejaring kerja sama ini memungkinkan adanya pertukaran informasi seputar penelitian sains terbarukan.
