Menurut Kepala Satuan Kerja Khusus (SKK) minyak dan gas bumi (migas) Jawa-Bali-Nusa Tenggara (Jabanusa), hal ini penting agar tujuan pengurangan emisi karbon tetap terwujud sehingga, menekan risiko pemanasan global.<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Peralihan energi fosil menuju energi baru terbarukan (EBT) menjadi isu serius yang mendorong berbagai pihak untuk segera merealisasikannya. Sejak UU No.16 Tahun 2016 tentang pengesahan <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Paris Climate Agreement <\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">diresmikan<\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">, <\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Indonesia memiliki target menurunkan emisi gas rumah kaca sebanyak 41 persen pada tahun 2030. Namun, menurut Ir Nurwahidi Indonesia nampak masih butuh gerakan masif untuk mewujudkannya. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Pasalnya, sebagai salah satu negara dengan jumlah penduduk terbanyak di dunia, Indonesia memiliki kebutuhan energi yang besar pula. Penggunaan energi ini diperlukan untuk kegiatan pembangunan di berbagai aspek yang bermuara pada kesejahteraan rakyat. Beberapa contoh di antaranya seperti pembangunan infrastruktur dan aktivitas industri.<\/span><\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_76493\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-76493\" style=\"width: 3951px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-76493\" src=\"https:\/\/www.its.ac.id\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2022\/11\/IMG_1027.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"3951\" height=\"2634\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-76493\" class=\"wp-caption-text\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Ir Nurwahidi mempresentasikan materinya di Ruang D201 Departemen Teknik Mesin Industri ITS<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Selain itu, hingga saat ini keberlangsungan aktivitas pembangunan di Indonesia masih cenderung menggunakan bahan bakar fosil dibandingkan penggunaan EBT. Sayangnya, energi ramah lingkungan ini masih terdapat kekurangan seperti, biaya produksi yang relatif mahal serta kurang efisien. Hal ini diakibatkan kepadatan energi pada EBT\u00a0 lebih sedikit dibandingkan energi rivalnya (fosil, red).\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Nurwahidi menambahkan bahwa intinya, dibutuhkan penelitian dan pengembangan lebih lanjut agar Indonesia dapat benar-benar menggunakan sumber energi ramah lingkungan ini. \u201cSemua harus dilakukan secara bertahap dan waktu yang lama,\u201d tuturnya pada <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">forum group discussion<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> (FGD) Departemen Teknik Mesin Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS).<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Oleh karena itu, dengan adanya permasalahan ini diperlukan energi transisi, atau energi yang bisa dimanfaatkan secara massal hingga energi bersih dan terbarukan tersedia untuk banyak orang. Lelaki berkacamata ini berujar, salah satu sumber daya yang dapat digunakan sebagai bahan energi transisi adalah gas. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Meskipun gas merupakan salah satu bentuk dari energi fosil, jika dibandingkan dengan saudaranya, gas mengeluarkan emisi gas rumah kaca yang paling sedikit. Tak hanya itu, gas mengeluarkan 40 persen dan 30 persen lebih sedikit karbondioksida daripada batu bara dan minyak berturut-turut. \u201cIni lah yang membuat gas sebagai sumber energi fosil paling bersih, walaupun tetap kurang jika dibandingkan dengan alternatif lain,\u201d terangnya pada 26 November lalu.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Alumni Teknik Mesin ITS ini menjelaskan bahwa sebenarnya terdapat surplus gas di Indonesia.
