Seperti namanya, metode ini menggabungkan budidaya ikan (Akuakultur) dan tanaman (Hidroponik) di lahan terbatas.<\/span><\/b><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Ketua tim KKN, Mohammad Kevin Aristofa mengungkapkan bahwa program ini bertujuan untuk membantu meningkatkan taraf ekonomi masyarakat dari hasil panen budidaya ikan dan tanaman. Untuk itu, Kevin dan tim memilih untuk membudidayakan 500 bibit Gurame dan 40 bibit Nila dalam sebuah tambak\u00a0 seluas 96 meter persegi. \u201cKami juga melakukan pemantauan dan pemeliharaan terhadap bibit tersebut,\u201d ungkapnya.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Tidak hanya itu, tim yang beranggotakan 19 mahasiswa ini juga menanam 60 bibit Kangkung dan 60 bibit Pakcoy di lahan yang sama. Sejalan dengan konsep Aquaponik, Kevin menjelaskan, media untuk menanam tanaman dibangun di atas kolam budidaya ikan. Menurut mahasiswa yang akrab disapa Kevin ini, hal tersebut ditujukan agar memudahkan siklus air kolam yang dipompa ke media untuk mengalir kembali ke kolam.<\/span><\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_75521\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-75521\" style=\"width: 900px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-75521\" src=\"https:\/\/www.its.ac.id\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2022\/11\/WhatsApp-Image-2022-11-10-at-08.31.56-2.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"900\" height=\"650\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-75521\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Anggota KKN sedang melakukan pemeliharaan terhadap ikan di kolam<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Di sisi lain, Kevin mengungkapkan, proses Aquaponik tidaklah mungkin berjalan dengan baik tanpa diikuti dengan sistem perairan yang baik. Maka dari itu, Kevin dan tim tidak lupa membangun menara tandon yang nantinya digunakan sebagai media dari sistem operasi air. \u201cDilakukan juga pemasangan paranet untuk melindungi tanaman Aquaponik dari terik matahari,\u201d paparnya.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Kegiatan yang berlangsung selama empat bulan sejak Juli lalu ini dikatakan Kevin menuai respon positif dari masyarakat setempat. Ia menyebutkan, tak jarang masyarakat ikut serta memberikan pendapat dari permasalahan yang dialami tim.
