Untuk itu, Kepala Laboratorium Teknik Elektro Kimia Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS) memberikan wawasannya terkait hal tersebut di acara Industrial Chemical Engineering Talkshow (IChETS) 2022.<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Prof Dr Ir Heru Setyawan M Eng mengatakan,\u00a0 sektor transportasi merupakan penyumbang 16 persen emisi karbon global. Oleh karena itu, hadirnya kendaraan listrik ini diperlukan untuk mengurangi konsumsi minyak, pengurangan emisi karbon, serta perkembangan teknologinya menjadi salah satu pintu untuk mencapai <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Net Zero Emission <\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">sebelum tahun 2050.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Akan tetapi, teknologi kendaraan listrik saat ini belum sepenuhnya bebas emisi. Alasannya adalah pembangkit listrik yang masih menggunakan bahan bakar fosil seperti batu bara, minyak bumi dan gas. \u201cTeknologi kendaraan listrik saat ini hanya memindahkan emisi karbon dari perkotaan menuju daerah sepi tempat pembangkit listrik dibangun,\u201d jelasnya pada Minggu (30\/10).<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Meskipun begitu, ia menegaskan bahwa penggunaan kendaraan listrik ini perlu terus digencarkan. Karena, walaupun belum sepenuhnya bebas emisi, setidaknya kendaraan listrik dapat mengurangi konsumsi minyak bumi sebesar tujuh juta barel perhari. Jika pengurangan konsumsi bahan bakar tersebut berhasil maka, <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Net Zero Scenario <\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">di 2030 dapat tercapai<\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">.<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-75005\" src=\"https:\/\/www.its.ac.id\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2022\/10\/sampingan.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"1920\" height=\"1080\" \/><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Serah terima sertifikat dari panitia IChETS kepada Kepala Laboratorium Teknik Elektro Kimia ITS, Prof Dr Ir Heru Setyawan M Eng (kanan atas)<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Kabar baiknya, mobil listrik penumpang popularitasnya terus melonjak. Diperkirakan, pada tahun 2022 13 persen mobil baru yang terjual adalah mobil listrik. Heru menjelaskan bahwa penjualan kendaraan listrik mengalami pertumbuhan secara eksponensial pada beberapa tahun terakhir. Meskipun terhalang oleh pandemi, penjualan mobil listrik dunia pada tahun 2021 justru adalah yang tertinggi, meningkat hampir dua kali lipat dibandingkan tahun 2020.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Namun sayangnya, kenaikan popularitas kendaraan listrik ini belum menjadi fenomena global dan hanya terjadi di beberapa negara. Bahkan di kebanyakan negara berkembang, penjualan kendaraan listrik justru terkesan lambat. Penyebabnya adalah harga beli yang mahal dan kurangnya infrastruktur pengisian.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Berdasarkan data yang ada, infrastruktur pengisian energi kendaraan listrik memang terus meningkat dari tahun ke tahun. Akan tetapi, peningkatan yang signifikan ini hanya terjadi di Tiongkok.
