Realizing this goal, ITS signed a memorandum of understanding or Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Social Security Administering Body (BPJS) for Employment, Thursday (1\/9).<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Located in the ITS Rectorate Building, this MoU was signed directly by ITS Chancellor Prof Dr Ir Mochamad Ashari MEng IPU AEng with BPJS Employment Director General and Human Resources (HR) Abdur Rahman Irsyadi. ITS and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bpjsketenagakerjaan.go.id\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">BPJS Ketenagakerjaan<\/a> will cooperate in the fields of health, education, research and community service.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">The ITS Chancellor, who is often called Ashari, said that ITS has held the title of Legal Entity State University (PTN-BH) since 2017. This means that ITS is required to be financially independent, especially in terms of human resource financing. &#8220;As a result, new educational staff at ITS no longer hold the status of Civil Servants (PNS), so they do not receive guarantees from the government,&#8221; he added.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_72095\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-72095\" style=\"width: 1280px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-72095\" src=\"https:\/\/www.its.ac.id\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2022\/09\/Direktur-Umum-dan-SDM-BPJS-Ketenagakerjaan-Abdur-Rahman-Irsyadi-memberikan-sambutannya-dalam-acara-penandatanganan-MoU-di-ITS.jpeg\" alt=\"Direktur Umum dan SDM BPJS Ketenagakerjaan Abdur Rahman Irsyadi memberikan sambutannya dalam acara penandatanganan MoU di ITS\" width=\"1280\" height=\"724\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-72095\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">BPJS Employment Director General and HR Abdur Rahman Irsyadi gave his remarks at the MoU signing event at ITS<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Ashari continued, ITS often conducts Community Service Real Work Lectures (KKN Abmas) in areas outside Surabaya. The participants of this Abmas KKN will do service and travel outside the city, so there are potential dangers that threaten their safety. &#8220;Therefore, it is hoped that ITS can cooperate with BPJS Employment to ensure their safety,&#8221; he explained.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Not only working together in providing safety guarantees, Ashari expressed his desire to be able to work together in the downstreaming of ITS innovation products in the health sector. &#8220;ITS has developed innovations in the form of skull implants and prosthetic hands and feet, so that these products can be widely used by people in need,&#8221; said the ITS Professor of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.its.ac.id\/telektro\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Electrical Engineering<\/a>.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_72096\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-72096\" style=\"width: 1280px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-72096\" src=\"https:\/\/www.its.ac.id\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2022\/09\/Rektor-ITS-Prof-Dr-Ir-Mochamad-Ashari-MEng-tiga-dari-kanan-dan-Direktur-Umum-dan-SDM-BPJS-Ketenagakerjaan-Abdur-Rahman-Irsyadi-tiga-dari-kiri-usai-penandatanganan-MoU.jpeg\" alt=\"Rektor ITS Prof Dr Ir Mochamad Ashari MEng (tiga dari kanan) dan Direktur Umum dan SDM BPJS Ketenagakerjaan Abdur Rahman Irsyadi (tiga dari kiri) usai penandatanganan MoU\" width=\"1280\" height=\"724\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-72096\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">ITS Chancellor Prof Dr Ir Mochamad Ashari MEng (third from right) and BPJS Employment Director General and HR Abdur Rahman Irsyadi (three from left) after signing the MoU<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Responding to this, the Director of General Affairs and HR of BPJS Ketenagakerjaan enthusiastically welcomed the offer of cooperation. Abdur Rahman explained that the collaboration between BPJS Employment and ITS has been going on since 2020. &#8220;ITS has trusted BPJS Employment to provide safety guarantees for its 731 education staff, hopefully this collaboration will continue,&#8221; he added.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Abdur Rahman continued, BPJS Employment has a Co-Marketing program which is a form of cooperation in the promotion and sale of products or services that are BPJS Employment participants.
