Oleh karenanya, masyarakat perlu mulai beralih ke material beton ramah lingkungan. Seperti <a href=\"https:\/\/www.its.ac.id\/news\/2020\/02\/25\/riset-beton-geopolimer-antar-galih-tatap-mawapres-its\/\">beton geopolimer<\/a> dari limbah <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">fly ash<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> hasil rancangan mahasiswa Departemen Teknik Infrastruktur Sipil ITS.<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Beranggotakan Firman Maulana Saputra, Boy Triono Halolo, dan Kornelius Sofinner Ndruru, tiga mahasiswa ini memanfaatkan limbah <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">fly ash<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> kelas C dari PLTU Paiton Probolinggo. \u201cLimbah tersebut menjadi bahan semen tambahan pada beton geopolimer kami,\u201d ujar Firman.<\/span><\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_70667\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-70667\" style=\"width: 1477px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-70667\" src=\"https:\/\/www.its.ac.id\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2022\/07\/WhatsApp-Image-2022-06-20-at-10.17.43.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1477\" height=\"1108\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-70667\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Contoh beton geopolimer buatan mahasiswa ITS yang melalui proses uji tekan<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Firman menjelaskan, proses pembuatan beton geopolimer dimulai dengan merancang desain campuran yang terdiri dari semen, pasir, kerikil, serta natrium hidroksida dan natrium <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">sulfit <\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">sebagai reaktor. Selanjutnya, dalam proses pengadukan, Firman dan tim memanfaatkan mesin molen dan mereaksikan <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">fly ash<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> dengan mesin grinding.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Mahasiswa asal Madiun ini mengungkapkan, timnya sangat terbantu atas kelengkapan fasilitas di ITS. Salah satu manfaat kelengkapan fasilitas ini memudahkan ketiganya menyampur bahan-bahan beton saat masih dalam bentuk bubuk. \u201cBerkatnya kami dapat menjaga kadar air beton lebih teratur dan mampu menghasilkan beton yang lebih kuat,\u201d paparnya.<\/span><\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_70668\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-70668\" style=\"width: 1477px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-70668\" src=\"https:\/\/www.its.ac.id\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2022\/07\/WhatsApp-Image-2022-06-20-at-10.18.56.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1477\" height=\"1108\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-70668\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Hasil akhir beton geopolimer dari limbah fly ash buatan mahasiswa ITS<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Usut punya usut, pria berkacamata ini menyebutkan, kekuatan beton merupakan salah satu indikator penting dalam menentukan kualitas beton.
