Berangkat dari hal tersebut, Andreas Krisma Sukmana, mahasiswa <a href=\"https:\/\/www.its.ac.id\/instrumentasi\/id\/beranda\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Departemen Teknik Instrumentasi<\/a> Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS) membuat terobosan berupa alat kontrol temperatur cerdas untuk pemurnian biogas.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Mahasiswa yang biasa disapa Andre ini merancang alat yang diberinya nama SMITOL (<em>Smart Humidity Control pada Proses Purifikasi Biogas<\/em>) dengan menggunakan metode <em>redundancy water scrubber<\/em> dan silika gel berbasis <em>Internet of Things<\/em> (IoT). Metode tersebut digunakan oleh Andre karena <em>water scrubber<\/em> dinilai lebih efisien dan mampu menangkap partikel dalam bentuk kecil serta dapat mengikat gas.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Sedangkan silika gel dapat menghindari berkembangnya kelembaban yang berlebihan setelah melewatinya, karena sifat yang dimiliki menyerap tanpa mengubah kondisi zatnya. Alasan lain digunakannya <em>set point<\/em> di bawah 60 persen adalah karena dalam menggunakan biogas untuk memasak, listrik dan lain-lain harus bersih, supaya biogas yang dimurnikan menjadi kering tanpa adanya air yang dapat mengakibatkan kalor biogas berkurang.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Lebih dalam, Andre meyakini jika alat ciptaannya lebih unggul dibandingkan alat kontrol temperatur konvensional pada umumnya. Alat yang diciptakannya bekerja secara otomatis secara keseluruhan, berbeda dengan alat kontrol konvensional yang masih harus digunakan secara manual. \u201cKeseluruhan parameter teknis dari alat yang saya gagas ini mulai dari instrumen pengukur, sistem pengendalian kelembaban, maupun sistem <em>redundancy<\/em> semua sudah otomatis sehingga bisa lebih efisien,\u201d tandas Andre meyakinkan.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Hasil gagasan Andre ini juga telah berhasil membuahkan prestasi juara pertama pada kompetisi <em>Physics Tour Competition 2<\/em> kategori <em>Esai Penerapan Fisika dalam Pengembangan Teknologi <\/em>yang diselenggarakan oleh <a href=\"https:\/\/unri.ac.id\/en\/\">Universitas Negeri Riau<\/a>, akhir Maret lalu. \u201cKe depannya, alat ini akan terus saya kembangkan supaya menjadi lebih baik lagi.
