ITS Campus, ITS News \u2013<\/span><\/strong>Acceptance of new students Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS) through the Computer-Based Writing Exam for the 2022 State University Joint Entrance Selection (UTBK-SBMPTN) officially opened today, Wednesday (23\/3). ITS has also prepared 1,644 seats for new students from the SBMPTN pathway.<\/span><\/span><\/b><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Delivered by the Director of ITS Education Dr. Eng Siti Machmudah S.T. MEng, ITS is ready to execute this year’s SBMPTN. Along with the start of registration for the annual agenda proclaimed by the Higher Education Entrance Test Institute (LTMPT), ITS has well managed this momentum to welcome new students. “ITS preparations ahead of the 2022 UTBK-SBMPTN are much more mature when compared to the previous year,” said the lecturer familiarly called Machmudah.<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n

Furthermore, this Chemical Engineering Department lecturer said that ITS had carried out a series of preparations in the form of completing facilities and infrastructure related to the technical implementation of UTBK, debriefing the person in charge of the location, preparing supervisors, and tightening health protocols. “In preparation for this year’s UTBK, ITS is more prepared than last year because the test location is only in the ITS environment,” Machmudah explained.<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n

The lecturer often studies the extraction of chemical compounds and said that in alerting the 2022 UTBK-SBMPTN scheme. Data collection for the computer laboratory in the ITS as the test location was completed. A total of 655 computer units that will be used for UTBK have been prepared by ITS and coordination with the 2022 UTBK SBMPTN implementation committee has also been held previously.<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n

To attract prospective new students to join ITS, Macheasy said that ITS had made various efforts before the UTBK-SBMPTN event began. “ITS has been promoted through social media and held webinars to introduce ITS. Besides that we also participated in educational exhibitions to recruit new students,” said Machmudah.<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n

Regarding the acceptance quota for the 2022 SBMPTN, the 48-year-old woman explained in detail that ITS is targeting 15,000 registrants with 1,644 students accepted. Compared to last year, the number of students accepted was reduced because the acceptance of new students from the applied undergraduate study program was no longer managed by LTMPT.<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n

However, Machmudah said that in general there would be an increase in the quota of 120 people for undergraduate study programs. If you look in the mirror from previous years, Macheasy also said that the most interested people usually come from the Department of Informatics Engineering. “However, because registration has just opened, we don’t yet know the tightness between departments held this year,” she added.<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n

For information, LTMPT’s official Instagram account @ltmptofficial has reminded and informed all students that the 2022 UTBK-SBMPTN registration will officially be held from 23 March 2022 to 15 April 2022. LTMPT also asks all prospective UTBK-SBMPTN registrants to prepare well at this stage of registration.<\/span><\/p>\n

At the end of the interview, Machmudah also hopes that all prospective SBMPTN applicants to take part in the UTBK well and smoothly and can be accepted into the desired study program. “Keep studying and prepare well for the test.
