Berangkat dari permasalahan tersebut, Tim Neutrino dari Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS) menggagas elektrolit padat baterai mobil listrik hasil ekstraksi bambu tali.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Dilansir dari CNBC, kebutuhan baterai mobil listrik bisa mencapai 198 GWh pada tahun 2050 mendatang. Namun baterai mobil listrik yang dikomersialkan masih menggunakan elektrolit cair yang bersifat korosif, mudah menguap, dan meledak karena adanya <em>short circuit<\/em>. \u201cDengan mengganti ke elektrolit padat, risiko tersebut bisa diminimalkan karena kestabilan thermalnya lebih tinggi,\u201d jelas Andyan Rafi Setopratama, Ketua Tim Neutrino.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Tak hanya itu, lanjut mahasiswa yang akrab disapa Rafi ini, baterai mobil listrik komersial apabila dibuang ke lingkungan akan menjadi limbah B3 (bahan berbahaya beracun). Hal itu dikarenakan masih menggunakan bahan sintetis seperti polietilena dan polipropilen. Bahan-bahan sintetis ini pun mahal harganya, sehingga harga dari baterai mobil listrik komersial juga tinggi. \u201cBahkan harga baterai mobil listrik Tesla setara dengan harga mobil Avanza,\u201d ungkap mahasiswa Departemen Fisika ini.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Tim yang juga beranggotakan dua mahasiswa lainnya dari <a href=\"https:\/\/www.its.ac.id\/fisika\/id\/beranda-2\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Departemen Fisika<\/a> angkatan 2019 yaitu Phahul Zhemas Zul Nehan dan M Fatahillah Aqsa Laksana Bahtera Nuh ini terinspirasi dari penelitian serupa yang dilakukan oleh Ndruru pada tahun 2019 yang menggunakan kulit kakao. Tahap pertama adalah menentukan kadar selulosa dan lignin yang terdapat dalam bambu tali. Dengan menggunakan metode Chesson-Data, ditemukan bahwa bambu tali mengandung 72 persen selulosa dan 5 persen lignin. Kadar selulosa ini merupakan kadar tertinggi jika dibandingkan dengan penelitian serupa yang menggunakan bahan alam lainnya seperti kulit kakao, serat ampas tebu, dan tongkol jagung manis.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Kemudian dilanjutkan tahap ekstraksi kandungan selulosa dengan menggunakan metode <em>Microwave Assisted Extraction<\/em> (MAE) yang menghasilkan bubuk selulosa. Selanjutnya adalah sintesis karboksimetil selulosa atau Carboxy Methyl Cellulose (CMC) dengan penambahan asam monokloroasetat (MCA) dan isopropanol. Material penting dalam penelitian seperti garam lithium perklorat juga mahal dan sulit ditemukan di Indonesia sehingga harus impor dari luar negeri. \u201cAkhirnya kami kerjakan apa yang sudah ada terlebih dahulu,\u201d ujar mahasiswa kelahiran 2001 ini.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Meskipun begitu, penelitian yang dikerjakan selama kurang lebih empat bulan ini telah berhasil mengantarkan Tim Neutrino meraih juara III dalam ajang <em>Youth Idea Competition 2021<\/em> yang diselenggarakan oleh National Battery Research Institute.
