ITS Campus, ITS News<\/strong> \u2013 Simultaneously throughout Indonesia, the Higher Education Entrance Test Institute (LTMPT) officially announced the results of the 2022 State University Entrance National Selection (SNMPTN<\/a>) Tuesday (29\/3) at 15.00 WIB. In the selection through the academic achievement screening, Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember graduated 1,189 applicants from various regions in Indonesia who were divided into various existing departments.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

The Head of Sub-directorate of Admissions at the ITS Education Directorate<\/a>, Unggul Wasiwitono ST MEngSc, explained that the quota of 1,189 seats available at ITS was fought over by 12,120 enthusiasts. “This acceptance figure is 20 percent of the total quota of ITS new students in 2022,” he explained.<\/p>\n

Although the available quota has not changed from last year, Unggul detailed that the number of SNMPTN applicants has increased by 12 percent from the previous year. The number of prospective students accepted includes 28.34 percent of KIP-K holders and 71.66 percent of prospective students.<\/p>\n

Furthermore, the Mechanical Engineering Department lecturer explained that the SNMPTN enthusiasts at ITS were still dominated by high school students in East Java Province, with as many as 8,074 registrants. The Department of Informatics Engineering consistently ranks first with the most enthusiasts, receiving 1,482 applicants. The runner-ups are the Department of Information Systems with 825 applicants and the Department of System and Industrial Engineering with 641 applicants.<\/p>\n

Unggul explained, the Mechanical Engineering Department also did not change the policy from the previous year, which was prioritizing female applicants on the SNMPTN pathway. The difference is that this year ITS provides SNMPTN quotas through the golden ticket system. “The Department of Industrial Product Design (Despro) has given a golden ticket for prospective students who have extraordinary achievements in art and design,” he said.<\/p>\n

Unggul added that this year’s ITS SNMPTN assessment was also decided based on the number of students in one school registered for ITS. “The more applicants from these schools, the school index will increase, and the quota for these schools will also increase,” he said.<\/p>\n

However, Unggul advised prospective students who have passed the 2022 SNMPTN to take responsibility and re-register. This is because LTMPT has implemented a new policy; a ban on taking the Computer-Based Written Examination (UTBK) for prospective students who do not re-register at SNMPTN admissions.<\/p>\n

Therefore, Unggul emphasized that prospective ITS students who passed through the SNMPTN should immediately pay attention to the timeline for the re-registration announcement on its.ac.id\/admission page.
