Belum lagi kesenjangan pada akses pendidikan yang mendorong terjadinya <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Matthew Effect<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">, dimana orang yang mengalami kesulitan membaca akan lebih rendah performanya dan gap antara pembaca yang baik dan buruk akan terus meningkat. Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS) mengundang Ahmad Junaidi SPd MA untuk menggali <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Matthew Effect<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> dalam tingkat literasi Indonesia dan cara mengatasinya.<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><b>Kondisi Tingkat Literasi Indonesia<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Ahmad mengawali topik dengan hasil studi PISA pada 2018 yang digagas oleh Organization for Economic Co-Operation and Development (OECD) dimana kemampuan siswa dalam membaca memiliki skor 371. Angka tersebut termasuk di bawah standar COED dan justru lebih rendah dari skor Indonesia pada 2015 yakni sebesar 396.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Founder Jage Kastare Foundation ini memberikan contoh kondisi tingkat literasi Indonesia di Nusa Tenggara Barat. Ia menemukan bahwa satu dari lima siswa sekolah dasar (SD) kelas dua belum bisa memahami kata-kata pada bacaan sederhana. Sebagaimana diketahui, IPM <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">penting untuk mengukur keberhasilan dalam upaya membangun kualitas hidup manusia.<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> Oleh karena itu penting untuk mewujudkan <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Sustainable Development Goals <\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">(SDGs) poin 4.6. \u201cDimana poin tersebut berbunyi bahwa Pada tahun 2030, menjamin bahwa semua remaja dan proporsi kelompok dewasa tertentu, baik laki-laki maupun perempuan, memiliki kemampuan literasi dan numerasi,\u201d jelas Ahmad.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Salah satu problem utama yang perlu diselesaikan adalah <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Matthew Effects<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> dalam literasi. Kondisi ini merupakan fenomena sosial yang berkaitan dengan distribusi sumber daya yang menggambarkan proses ketimpangan. Istilah yang menggambarkan <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">matthew effects <\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">adalah <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">yang kaya semakin kaya, yang miskin semakin miskin<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">. Sedangkan dalam literasi, anak-anak yang mengalami kesulitan dalam belajar membaca menjadi lebih buruk dalam kinerja mereka, dan kesenjangan antara pembaca yang baik dan buruk meningkat dari waktu ke waktu.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Ahmad menyebutkan solusi dari masalah ini bisa dimulai dari peningkatkan skill dasar dan kecepatan membaca pada anak-anak.
