Kampus ITS, ITS News –<\/strong> Memasuki era digital, akademisi semakin berupaya kuat meningkatkan kualitas mahasiswanya demi meningkatkan sumber daya manusia (SDM) yang kompetitif. Terkait hal tersebut, Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS) bersama Sakon Nakhon Rajabat University (SNRU)<\/a>, Thailand memperbarui kerja sama di bidang kolaborasi riset yang disahkan melalui penandatanganan Memorandum of Understanding<\/em> (MoU) secara virtual, Rabu (19\/1).<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Setiap instansi akademisi berusaha keras demi menaikkan mutu pendidikan agar menciptakan lulusan yang memiliki nilai lebih dan siap berkompetisi pada lapangan kerja. Memasuki era digital ini, pendidikan dan penelitian berkembang pesat. Tantangan yang akan dihadapi adalah teknologi informasi. Dengan kemajuan intelijen akan menjadi senjata sengit untuk melawan tantangan yang ada dan dapat bertahan dalam kemajuan teknologi.<\/p>\n

Untuk itu, ITS kembali meneken kerja sama dengan SNRU untuk mengembangkan penelitian yang ada dan melanjutkan kemitraan yang telah terjalin sebelumnya. Dalam penandatanganan MoU tersebut, Rektor ITS Prof Dr Ir Mochamad Ashari MEng mengawali dengan memberi sambutan secara virtual.<\/p>\n

Antusiasme rektor yang akrab disapa Ashari tersebut sangat tinggi dalam membuka acara ini. \u201cKita (ITS, red) memiliki partner (kerja sama) yang produktif. Maka dari itu, sudah saatnya untuk memperbaiki kerja sama ini,\u201d tandasnya penuh semangat.<\/p>\n

Pada 2020, dikatakan Ashari, ada tiga mahasiswa ITS yang telah mendapat kesempatan pengalaman untuk melakukan internship <\/em>di SNRU sebelum terjadinya pandemi. ITS<\/a> pun berkomitmen tinggi untuk mempersiapkan siswa dalam kompetisi era digital dan energi terbarukan.<\/p>\n

Kerja sama ini diteken untuk mempertimbangkan penelitian bersama antara SNRU dengan ITS, pertukaran informasi bidang pengetahuan ilmiah, pertukaran mahasiswa untuk studi maupun penelitian, dan akses ke berbagai fasilitas masing-masing lembaga. MoU terbaru ini akan berjalan dalam periode lima tahun.<\/p>\n

Pada perjanjian ini ditetapkan bahwa Dr Dra Melania Suweni Muntini MT sebagai perwakilan dari ITS dan Prof Dr Tosawat Seetawan sebagai perwakilan dari SNRU. Di awal pidato, Ashari juga mengucapkan terima kasih kepada Melania selaku Wakil Kepala Pusat Penelitian Energi Berkelanjutan ITS atas riset dan publikasi yang telah diberikan.<\/p>\n

Sementara itu, President of SNRU Prof Chakrit Chanchitpreecha mengatakan, kerja sama yang sebelumnya telah dilakukan telah berjalan dengan signifikan. \u201cSaya percaya kerja sama dapat membawa kelahiran (sesuatu) yang baru,\u201d tegasnya optimistis. Diharapkan agar MoU ini dapat berdampak secara signifikan bagi kedua institusi. (HUMAS ITS)<\/p>\n
