Oleh karena itu, tim Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (Abmas) Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS) mengadakan penyuluhan guna meningkatkan hasil produksi dan daya jual umbi porang kepada masyarakat di <a href=\"https:\/\/ngetos.nganjukkab.go.id\/desa\/blongko\">Desa Blongko, Kecamatan Ngetos, Kabupaten Nganjuk, Jawa Timur<\/a> selama delapan bulan, berakhir November lalu.<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Ketua Program Abmas ITS, Dr Ir Eko Nurmianto MEngSc menuturkan jika penyuluhan di Desa Blongko ini dibagi dalam beberapa pelatihan. Pelatihan pertama, tim Abmas ITS menerima aspirasi petani porang melalui kuesioner yang digunakan untuk membangun strategi pengembangan. Selanjutnya, diadakan pelatihan kewirausahaan, budidaya, pengemasan, hingga manajemen pemasaran dalam berbisnis porang.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Tak hanya itu, tim Abmas ini juga mengadakan pelatihan pengolahan aneka makanan berbasis porang. Umbi tersebut berhasil diolah oleh masyarakat Desa Blongko menjadi bakso, jeli, mi, dawet, hingga naget porang. Selain produk olahan yang dipasarkan ke masyarakat, umbi porang disuplai ke pabrik porang terbesar di Nganjuk untuk diproses menjadi keripik (chips) serta tepung porang dan diekspor.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_64055\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-64055\" style=\"width: 1474px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\" wp-image-64055\" src=\"https:\/\/www.its.ac.id\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2021\/11\/produk-porang.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1474\" height=\"907\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.its.ac.id\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2021\/11\/produk-porang.jpg 1118w, https:\/\/www.its.ac.id\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2021\/11\/produk-porang-300x185.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.its.ac.id\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2021\/11\/produk-porang-1024x630.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/www.its.ac.id\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2021\/11\/produk-porang-768x473.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.its.ac.id\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2021\/11\/produk-porang-355x218.jpg 355w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1474px) 100vw, 1474px\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-64055\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Hasil olahan produk porang yang dibuat oleh masyarakat Desa Blongko.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Lebih lanjut, bersama dengan lima dosen lainnya, yaitu Dr Dewi Hidayati SSi MSi, Dr Drs Soehardjoepri MSi, Dr Ir Bambang Sampurno MT, Mashuri SSi MT, dan Muhammad Nurif SE MT serta 15 mahasiswa Koordinasi Daerah (Korda) Nganjuk, Eko juga memberikan mesin pencacah untuk membuat pupuk yang dapat membantu pembudidayaan porang masyarakat. \u201cMesin pencacah ini sangat efisien dan portabel untuk digunakan para petani,\u201d ungkap ahli ergonomi tersebut.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Bagi dosen <a href=\"https:\/\/www.its.ac.id\/tindustri\/en\/home\/\">Departemen Teknik Sistem dan Industri ITS<\/a> tersebut, tidak banyak kendala yang dialami dalam kegiatan penyuluhan.
