Kali ini, Dr Ari Endang Jayatri ST MT dari program studi S3 Teknik Elektro yang berhasil meraih gelar doktor lewat penelitiannya mengenai mitigasi gabungan efek nonlinieritas.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Melalui Sidang Terbuka Promosi Doktor Baru yang digelar secara virtual pada Sempember lalu, Ari mengungkapkan bahwa penelitiannya berjudul <em>Mitigasi Gabungan Efek Nonlinieritas High Power Amplifier (HPA) dan Crosstalk dengan Iterative Receiver<\/em>. Penelitian ini diangkat dari disertasinya yang berjudul <em>Teknik Mitigasi Efek Nonlinieritas High Power Amplifier (HPA) Pada Multiple Input Multiple Output (MIMO) Generalized Frequency Division Multiflexing (GFDM).<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Berdasarkan keterangan perempuan kelahiran Semarang tersebut, GFDM adalah konsep baru transmisi multicarrier untuk <em>5th Generation<\/em> (5G) yang fleksibel untuk mengatasi kekurangan dari<em> Orthogonal frequency-division multiplexing<\/em> (OFDM) yaitu tingginya nilai <em>Peak Average Power Ratio<\/em> (PAPR) dan radiasi <em>Out of Band<\/em> (OOB). &#8220;GFDM di sini menghasilkan radiasi OOB yang rendah dengan penggunaan pulse shaping jenis raised cosine,&#8221; terangnya.<\/p>\n<p>Dijelaskan lebih lanjut, penggunaan satu <em>Cyclic Prefix<\/em> (CP) pada sekumpulan grup simbol GFDM menghasilkan bandwidth lebih efisien. HPA berfungsi memberi sinyal daya yang cukup agar transmisi bisa mencapai receiver. Tetapi semakin dekat PA didorong menuju ke daerah saturasi, semakin besar jumlah distorsi nonlinier yang akan menurunkan kinerja sistem.<\/p>\n<p>Pada penelitiannya, Ari menyelidiki efek distorsi nonlinear pada sistem MIMO-GFDM dengan teknik iterative receiver. Ide ini ia peroleh karena sejauh pengetahuannya, belum ada penelitian yang menyelidiki teknik untuk menggabungkan efek distorsi nonlinier dan crosstalk dalam sistem MIMO-GFDM. &#8220;Teknik ini mengasumsikan HPA independen untuk setiap antena dan membutuhkan pengetahuan tentang parameternya,&#8221; jelas Ari.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_62044\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-62044\" style=\"width: 1015px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-62044 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/www.its.ac.id\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2021\/10\/IMG-20210911-WA0002.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1015\" height=\"426\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.its.ac.id\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2021\/10\/IMG-20210911-WA0002.jpg 1015w, https:\/\/www.its.ac.id\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2021\/10\/IMG-20210911-WA0002-300x126.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.its.ac.id\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2021\/10\/IMG-20210911-WA0002-768x322.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.its.ac.id\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2021\/10\/IMG-20210911-WA0002-355x149.jpg 355w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1015px) 100vw, 1015px\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-62044\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Diagram pemodelan gabungan distorsi nonlinier dan crosstalk yang menjadi pokok penelitian dalam disertasi<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Selanjutnya, crosstalk sendiri merupakan interferensi antara sinyal dengan jalur yang berbeda dan mengakibatkan penurunan kinerja kualitas sinyal yang ditransmisikan. Sedangkan, masalah pada penelitiannya ini semakin parah saat terjadi distorsi nonlinier karena HPA pada MIMO GFDM menggunakan modulasi M-ary yang tinggi. &#8220;<em>Crosstalk linier<\/em> bisa dikoreksi oleh <em>equalizer<\/em> MIMO, sedangkan <em>crosstalk nonlinier<\/em> tidak bisa dikoreksi oleh receiver MIMO dan sangat berbahaya,&#8221; tutur dosen kelahiran 1980 itu.<\/p>\n<p>Melalui penelitiannya, Ari berhasil mengkompensasi efek gabungan untuk nilai iterasi kecil, yaitu 1-4 untuk pemetaan 16 <em>Offset Quadrature Amplitude Modulation<\/em> (OQAM). Sifat lanjutan dari teknik yang disajikan dalam penelitian ini adalah tidak perlu melakukan perubahan di sisi terminal seluler. &#8220;Metode ini membuktikan memiliki kemampuan untuk mengkompensasi efek gabungan yang belum dapat diteliti oleh penelitian sebelumnya,&#8221; paparnya.<\/p>\n<p>Dosen Teknik Elektro Universitas Semarang itu berharap agar penelitian selanjutnya dapat mengganti kanal <em>Additive White Gaussian Noise<\/em> (AWGN) menjadi jenis kanal lain agar mendekati kanal yang sebenarnya, mengganti model HPA yang digunakan dengan model lain. &#8220;Hasil simulasi penelitian sebaiknya dikembangkan ke eksperimen riil seperti menggunakan <em>Software Defined Radio<\/em> (SDR) dengan perangkat keras modulasi radio agar melihat keasliannya,&#8221; ujarnya penuh harap. <strong>(*)\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Reporter: Fauzan Fakhrizal Azmi<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Redaktur: Heny Tri Hendardi<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Kampus ITS, ITS News \u2013 Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS) kembali menambah daftar lulusannya yang bergelar doktor.
