Sebelumnya, acara serupa pernah digelar Komunitas yang berasal dari Bidang Teknik Sistem Komputer ini, tepatnya Juli 2007 lalu.<\/p>\n<p>Bertempat di ruang Laboratorium Common Computing, pelatihan yang dihelat selama dua hari ini sejak Sabtu (1\/3) ini dibagi menjadi dua <em>shift<\/em>. <em>Shift <\/em>I diikuti lima belas peserta dan <em>shift<\/em> II sebelas orang, yang rata-rata terdiri dari kalangan mahasiswa baik ITS maupun non-ITS.<\/p>\n<p><em>Routing<\/em> jaringan merupakan suatu metode untuk mencari rute yang baik dalam menyampaikan data lewat suatu komputer. Ilmu ini memilki peran yang sangat penting bagi komunikasi komputer. Untuk itulah pelatihan ini mempunyai sasaran masyarakat yang bergerak di bidang komunikasi. <\/p>\n<p>Dwi Joko Susilo, salah satu pembicara, menyebutkan bahwa pelatihan ini sangat penting bagi komunikasi sebuah instansi. Joko juga menjelaskan bahwa <em>routing<\/em> jaringan dapat menghubungkan antar komputer mulai dari jaringan kecil sampai besar. &quot;Jaringan kecil seperti jaringan antar lab di ITS dan jaringan besar seperti jaringan yang menghubungkan antara ITS dengan seluruh dunia dapat berhubungan,\u00e2\u20ac\u009d tutur Joko.<\/p>\n<p>Masih menurut Joko, penguasaan <em>routing <\/em>jaringan di kalangan mahasiswa ITS masih relatif kecil. \u00e2\u20ac\u009dKebanyakan mahasiswa ITS masih kebingungan jika men-<em>setting<\/em> IP (<em>internet protocol)<\/em> laptop untuk Wi-Fi,\u00e2\u20ac\u009d imbuh mahasiswa jurusan Teknik Elektro ITS semester delapan ini. <\/p>\n<p>Dalam pelatihan ini, sebagian besar peserta masih terlihat bingung terutama pada pemaparan jenis <em>routing<\/em> jaringan statis. Pasalnya jenis ini mengharuskan peserta men-<em>setting routing <\/em>seacara manual. Menurut Joko, hal ini disebabkan peserta masih awam dengan jenis <em>routing<\/em> jaringan ini.<\/p>\n<p>Peserta yang turut berpartisipasi ternyata tak hanya berasal dari ITS, namun mereka datang dari berbagai universita, seperti PCP Unair, Universitas Trunojoyo dan lain-lain. Peserta terjauh adalah Diah yang berasal dari Universitas Trunojoyo Madura. Ia sengaja datang jauh-jauh ke ITS untuk mengikuti pelatihan ini. \u00e2\u20ac\u009dSaya berharap saya mendapat ilmu dan <em>link<\/em> dengan teman-teman ITS,\u00e2\u20ac\u009d ungkap mahasiswa D3 Teknik Komputer Jaringan Trunojoyo ini.
