Dua penulis yang didatangkan yaitu Habiburrahman El Shirazy beserta Salim A  Fillah menjadi daya tarik sendiri bagi peserta yang mayoritas kaum hawa ini. Sebelum memasuki acara inti, peserta disuguhkan alunan musik islam dari AV Voice, grup nasyid mahasiswa ITS. Tiga <em>tembang <\/em>nasyid pun dihadirkan Andy dan kawan-kawannya.<\/p>\n<p>Acara resmi dibuka Dr Rer Nat Triwikantoro Msi selaku Ketua Tim Pembina kerohanian Islam (TPKI) ITS. \u00e2\u20ac\u0153Semoga acara ini dapat memberikan pencerahan kepada pemuda-pemudi khususnya tentang pergaulan secara Islami,\u00e2\u20ac\u009d tutur Triwikantoro dalam sambutannya. Senada dengan itu, Ahmad Yusuf Ismail, Ketua JMMI mengharapkan hal yang serupa. \u00e2\u20ac\u0153Saya harap acara seminar yang kami gelar ini dapat memberikan gambaran kepada remaja untuk menjadi pemuda yang berprestasi dan sesuai dengan syariat Islam,\u00e2\u20ac\u009d katanya.  <\/p>\n<p>Setelah pembukaan, acara dilanjutkan dengan pemberian hadiah untuk pemenang English Speech Contest<em> <\/em>(ESC) oleh Dra Lubna Algadrie Dipl TELF MA  kepada  Jamal (mahasiswa jurusan HI Unair) sebagai pemenang pertama dan Mia Saskia (siswi SMA Wachid Hasyim 2 Sidoarjo), pemenang kedua. Untuk pemenang ketiga dan keempat berturut-turut diraih Ghia Ascotia direbut oleh mahasiswi Psikologi Unair dan Taufik Setiawan dari jurusan Teknik Kelautan ITS. Pemberian <em>award<\/em> ini dilakukan secara simbolis oleh Ketua JMMI. <\/p>\n<p>Sementara itu, di selasar Graha Sepuluh Nopember, peserta juga dapat melengkapi perpustakaan pribadi. Karena panitia menggelar bazar murah dengan berbagai alternatif pilihan buku menarik. Selain it, ada stan yang menyuguhkan aneka <em>camilan<\/em> ringan, seperti roti kebab atau pun kue coklat yang menggiurkan. <\/p>\n<p>Kajian jurusan yang ada di lingkungan ITS pun turut berpartisipasi dalam bazar murah tersebut. \u00e2\u20ac\u0153Walaupun tidak semua kajian jurusan dapat mendirikan stan nya di sini, kami sangat bahagia karena animo peserta sangat besar,\u00e2\u20ac\u009d pungkas Tri Nur Hidayati, salah panitia acara.
