Kampus ITS, ITS News \u2013<\/strong>\u00a0Sebagai kampus yang mendukung perkembangan teknologi industri 4.0, Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS) terus meningkatkan kerja sama dengan perguruan tinggi lain di Indonesia. Kali ini, kerja sama dengan Universitas Trisakti (Usakti)<\/a> Jakarta yang ditandai dengan penandatanganan nota kesepahaman atau Memorandum of Understanding<\/em> (MoU) secara daring, Kamis (8\/7).<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

MoU ditandatangani langsung oleh Rektor ITS Prof Dr Ir Mochamad Ashari MEng dan Rektor Usakti Prof Dr Ir Kadarsah Suryadi DEA. Turut mendampingi dalam seremoni penandatanganan MoU tersebut antara lain jajaran pimpinan ITS dan beberapa dosen ITS lainnya. Penandatanganan nota kesepahaman ini sebagai langkah awal ITS<\/a> bersama Usakti untuk bekerja sama dalam hal pengembangan inovasi, penelitian yang paten, dan kegiatan antarkampus.<\/p>\n

Dalam sambutannya, Rektor ITS mengatakan, kerja sama ini adalah kesempatan yang luar biasa bagi kedua pihak untuk meningkatkan pengembangan serta reputasi instansi di bidang pengembangan teknologi industri 4.0. \u201cSebagai langkah awal, kita perlu menjalin kerja sama dengan universitas lain, tidak hanya Perguruan Tinggi Negeri (PTN), tetapi perlu juga dengan Perguruan Tinggi Swasta (PTS),\u201d tutur rektor yang akrab disapa Ashari ini.<\/p>\n

Guru besar Teknik Elektro ITS ini menyampaikan, MoU yang diprakarsai oleh dekan Fakultas Teknik Sipil dan Perencanaan (FTSP) Usakti ini sangat diapresiasi dan yang sangat diharapkan adalah implementasi dari MoU itu sendiri. \u201cJangan sampai MoU ini hanya berupa tanda tangan di atas kertas tanpa adanya implementasi lebih lanjut,\u201d ucapnya mengingatkan.<\/p>\n

Ashari juga memberikan apresiasi kepada jajarannya dan para dosen ITS yang telah berhasil menggaet kerja sama dengan dosen dari universitas lain. Sehingga tidak hanya bekerja sama dengan dosen di seputar instansi ITS saja.<\/p>\n

Di sisi lain, Rektor Usakti dalam sambutannya menyampaikan bahwa sudah banyak kegiatan yang dilaksanakan di antara kedua instansi, sehingga MoU ini ditandatangani dengan sepenuh hati dan sangat percaya diri karena beberapa kegiatan sudah berjalan. “Saya kira kita semua mempunyai visi yang sama yaitu menghasilkan para mahasiswa untuk menjadi lulusan yang bermanfaat, khususnya di perkembangan teknologi industri 4.0,” ujar mantan rektor Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB) ini.<\/p>\n

Setidaknya, lanjut Kadarsah, lulusan yang akan dihasilkan nantinya adalah para profesional yang mengisi lapangan pekerjaan dan para entrepreneur<\/em> yang menciptakan lapangan kerja. Hal ini sesuai dengan tujuan kedua instansi, yaitu sama-sama menuju entrepreneur university<\/em>. Melalui MoU ini, kedua instansi akan selalu berusaha bersama-sama meningkatkan kualitas mahasiswa hingga mereka bisa mengisi lapangan kerja.<\/p>\n

Di akhir acara, Ashari juga berharap kerja sama ini dapat menghasilkan kegiatan dengan latar belakang pendidikan yang merupakan sinergi, kecepatan, dan kreativitas antara pendidikan dalam negeri dengan perkembangan teknologi industri 4.0. Sehingga diharapkan pula terbentuk kurikulum pendidikan bertaraf internasional yang akan menghasilkan sumber daya manusia (SDM) lebih berkualitas dan handal, untuk mewujudkan visi misi kedua instansi.
