NCU yang merupakan lima besar universitas terbaik di Taiwan menawarkan tujuh fakultas yaitu<em> <\/em>Liberal Arts,Sciences, Engineering, Management, Electrical Engineering and Computer Sciences, Earth Sciences<em> <\/em>dan Hakka Studies. <\/p>\n<p> Mengenai fakultas Hakka Studies yang masih terasa asing, Prof Benjamin menjelaskan bahwa Hakka adalah semacam suku di dataran Cina yang telah lama terlantar. NCU berusaha melestarikannya dengan membuka fakultas yang didalamnya mencakup pembelajaran tentang sistem ekonomi, politik, bahasa dan kebudayaan dari suku Hakka.<\/p>\n<p>Prof Benjamin mengaku, sudah dua tahun ini NCU berusaha mengembangkan <em>international student program<\/em> mereka dengan menawarkan beasiswa bagi mahasiswa asing. Untuk beasiswa sendiri ada yang merupakan beasiswa dari NCU maupun dari pemerintah Taiwan yang jumlahnya lebih besar. Persyaratan utama mendapatkan beasiswa ini adalah kemampuan berbahasa Inggris. Mengenai besarnya beasiswa Prof Benjamin berpendapat,\u00e2\u20ac\u0153Besarnya beasiswa cukuplah untuk kehidupan anda sehari-hari.\u00e2\u20ac\u009d<\/p>\n<p>Ada pula alumnus Teknik Mesin ITS, Hadi Kuntjara, yang saat ini mengambil S3 Management di NCU. Hadi sedikit berbagi cerita tentang kehidupannya di Taiwan yang sudah berjalan selama 1,5 tahun.\u00e2\u20ac\u009dAda masjid yang biasa kami gunakan untuk shalat Jumat dan soal makanan juga tersedia rumah makan prasmanan, jadi kita bisa memilih sendiri makanan yang kita inginkan apabila khawatir halal dan haramnya,\u00e2\u20ac\u009dtuturnya.<\/p>\n<p>Dalam sesi tanya jawab, beberapa audiens mempertanyakan hal-hal yang umumnya dikhawatirkan mahasiwa yang hendak belajar ke luar negeri seperti kendala bahasa. Menanggapi hal ini Prof Jo Pan Sheng dari Civil Engineering menjawab dengan nada guyon \u00e2\u20ac\u0153Jika anda dapat berbahasa Inggris dengan baik, maka anda akan hidup&nbsp; di Taiwan dengan lancar,\u00e2\u20ac\u009dujarnya disambut senyum para hadirin.<\/p>\n<p>Setelah sesi tanya jawab acara dilanjutkan dengan sesi interview.
