Hal ini ditunjang pula dengan jumlah potensi dan produksi panas bumi Indonesia yang tergolong sangat besar. Mengulas lebih dalam mengenai panas bumi di Indonesia, <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Society of Petroleum Engineer Student Chapter<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (SPE ITS SC) menghelat <em>Guest Lecture <\/em><\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Geothermal Week<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> yang berlangsung selama tiga hari hingga Minggu, (23\/5).\u00a0<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Ashadi Ashadi, Drilling Manager KS Orka Renewables menyatakan bahwa panas bumi bisa juga disebut sebagai energi berkelanjutan. Mula-mula, panas yang dihasilkan magma di dalam kerak bumi, dapat dimanfaatkan untuk menggerakkan turbin. &#8220;Dalam proses menghasilkan energi listrik ini, akan dihasilkan kondensat atau <em>brine\u00a0<\/em>berupa sisa air yang akan diinjeksikan kembali ke dalam perut bumi untuk siklus selanjutnya&#8221; paparnya dalam <em>Guest Lecture <\/em>pada gelaran <i>Geothermal Week.<\/i><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Lebih lanjut, selain dari segi keberlanjutan, Ashadi menjelaskan bahwa panas bumi juga menghasilkan emisi yang sangat rendah, sehingga bersifat ramah lingkungan. \u201cDibandingkan sumber energi terbarukan yang lain seperti solar, air dan angin, panas bumilah yang mampu memenuhi kebutuhan listrik selama 24 jam tanpa henti, atau disebut <em>baseloader<\/em>,\u201d ungkap alumnus Universitas Indonesia ini.<\/span><\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_59156\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-59156\" style=\"width: 1494px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-59156 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/www.its.ac.id\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2021\/05\/Screenshot-19-e1623026434403.png\" alt=\"Ashadi Ashadi \" width=\"1494\" height=\"815\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.its.ac.id\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2021\/05\/Screenshot-19-e1623026434403.png 1494w, https:\/\/www.its.ac.id\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2021\/05\/Screenshot-19-e1623026434403-300x164.png 300w, https:\/\/www.its.ac.id\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2021\/05\/Screenshot-19-e1623026434403-1024x559.png 1024w, https:\/\/www.its.ac.id\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2021\/05\/Screenshot-19-e1623026434403-768x419.png 768w, https:\/\/www.its.ac.id\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2021\/05\/Screenshot-19-e1623026434403-355x194.png 355w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1494px) 100vw, 1494px\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-59156\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Ashadi Ashadi menjelaskan mengenai tantangan dan peluang panas bumi di Indonesia<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Melihat kelebihan energi panas bumi yang demikian, papar Ashadi, merupakan potensi yang sangat besar bagi Indonesia agar dapat memanfaatkannya dengan baik. Belum lagi, posisi Indonesia yang berada di cincin api (<\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">ring of fire<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">)<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> membuat produksi panas buminya menempati posisi nomor dua di dunia setelah Amerika Serikat. &#8220;Apalagi untuk potensinya, Indonesia menduduki peringkat teratas dengan jumlah potensi sebesar 29 gigawatt,&#8221; sambungnya.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Ashadi mengatakan, bagi Indonesia angka ini tidak berhenti di tempat, bahkan masih bisa ditingkatkan lagi. Hal inilah yang mendasari target pemerintah untuk dapat memanfaatkan panas bumi hingga 7200 megawatt per tahun pada 2025 mendatang. &#8220;<span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Dengan asumsi satu sumur menghasilkan 5 megawatt dan peluang keberhasilan pengeboran 60 persen, maka akan membutuhkan 190 sumur per tahun seharga 5 juta USD per sumur.&#8221; ulasnya.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Meskipun begitu, Ashadi mengutarakan bahwa sumber daya manusia yang ahli masih terlalu sedikit untuk mencapai target tersebut. Hal ini pula salah satu penyebab pemanfaatan panas bumi di Indonesua sejak 1983 hanya mencapai 8 persen.
