Menyadari permasalahan ini, Ikatan Alumni Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS) di Luar Negeri (IKA-ITS LN) bekerjasama dengan Pusat Penelitian Energi Berkelanjutan ITS mengadakan <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">webinar series<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> yang bertajuk <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Scale Pervention Program In Geothermal Industry by DSI<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">, Sabtu (01\/05)<\/span>.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Dalam materi yang dibawakan oleh Regional Manager South East Asia NEUCHEMIE, Nur Choiri Amin, dijelaskan bahwa fluida kimia geotermal memiliki komposisi keasaman yang berisi sulfur dan asam halogen yang aktif mengkorosi banyak campuran logam sehingga akan menyebabkan kerugian pada produksi energi panas bumi. \u201cKerugiannya berupa penurunan kapasitas produksi hingga peningkatan biaya perawatan,\u201d jelasnya.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Lebih lanjut, Choiri memaparkan bahwa ada banyak jenis korosi yang terjadi pada sistem geotermal, salah satunya korosi seragam atau erosi. Korosi ini terjadi karena efek mekanik pada logam, misalnya abrasi dan gesekan pada sistem.
