Seiring berkembangnya zaman, teknologi dalam <em>surveying\u00a0<\/em>terus berkembang semakin modern. Membahas lebih dalam teknologi yang digunakan dalam <em>surveying<\/em>, Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS) bersama Universitas Teknologi Mara menggelar webinar bertajuk <em>Impact of Technology on Modern Land Surveying Technique,<\/em>\u00a0Jumat (9\/4).<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Saifudin Aman Hj Sulaiman, seorang peneliti dari Universitas Teknologi Mara menyebutkan bahwa perkembangan teknologi menyebabkan banyaknya penemuan-penemuan peralatan yang lebih memudahkan pekerjaan petugas survei tanah (<em>surveyor<\/em>). Dengan peralatan yang lebih mutakhir, pekerjaan <em>surveyor<\/em> menjadi lebih efisien, terlihat dari minimnya tenaga manusia yang dibutuhkan dalam pengumpulan data dan perhitungan jarak. &#8220;Selain itu, waktu yang diperlukan untuk melakukan pengukuran juga lebih cepat,&#8221; ujar pria yang akrab disapa Saifudin ini.<\/p>\n<p>Saifudin menyambung, perkembangan teknologi ini dapat terlihat dari peralihan penggunaan kompas yang merupakan alat pertama dalam pemetaan, menjadi teknologi lain seperti <em>global positioning system<\/em> (GPS). Teodolit sendiri merupakan instrumen yang digunakan untuk pengukuran sudut. Sedangkan <em>t<\/em><em>riangulation station<\/em> atau titik trigonometri merupakan sebuah titik tetap untuk keperluan navigasi dan survei geodetik. Pertama, <em>i<\/em><em>onospheric anomalies <\/em>dan tomografi pemodelan tiga dimensi, teknologi yang berperan dalam sistem peringatan dini bencana tsunami. Kedua, sensor fusi GPS-unit pengukuran inersia (IMU) yang menggunakan <em>u<\/em><em>nscented kalman filter<\/em> (UKF), teknologi yang dapat menghasilkan estimasi posisi yang baik sehingga dapat diterima aplikasi, seperti navigasi misalnya.<\/p>\n<p>Teknologi berikutnya yaitu <em>g<\/em><em>lobal navigation satellite system<\/em> (GNSS) atau sistem navigasi satelit berbiaya rendah.
