Prof Aries Sulisetyono \u00a0ST MA SC PhD, guru besar (gubes) Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS) yang telah dikukuhkan, Rabu (31\/3) lalu, tergerak mengembangkan simulasi dinamika kapal untuk membantu keselamatan dan kenyamanan penumpang dan muatan kapal laut.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Komite Nasional Kecelakaan Transportasi (KNKT) merilis hasil investigasi kecelakaan kapal pada tahun 2011 sampai 2019 dengan total 123 kejadian. Tercatat jenis kecelakaan yang banyak terjadi disebabkan oleh faktor teknis sebesar 59 persen. Faktor teknis kapal meliputi konstruksi, sistem, uji manuver, uji sistem dan perlengkapan serta beberapa variabel lainnya.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Aries menjelaskan dalam orasinya bahwa menurut peraturan pemerintah, kapal harus memenuhi persyaratan kelayakan berlayar yang ditandai dengan beberapa sertifikat. Namun nyatanya tidak sedikit kapal yang memiliki sertifikat tetapi masih mengalami masalah teknis. \u201dSehingga perlu elaborasi yang lebih mendalam untuk mengetahui penyebab lainnya mulai dari desain, fabrikasi di kalangan, dan uji laut dalam simulasi dinamika kapal,\u201d ujarnya.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Gubes dari <a href=\"https:\/\/www.its.ac.id\/tkapal\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Departemen Teknik Perkapalan<\/a> ini menegaskan bahwa pengembangan dinamika kapal juga membantu desainer kapal untuk mengevaluasi kemampuan bermanuver kapal yang sesuai dengan standar keselamatan <a href=\"https:\/\/www.imo.org\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Organisasi Maritim Internasional (IMO)<\/a>. \u201cDi samping itu, ilmu dinamika kapal bisa menjelaskan secara teknis fenomena kecelakaan kapal di laut seperti tenggelam atau terbalik, tubrukan, kegagalan struktur dan lainnya,\u201d tuturnya.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_57949\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-57949\" style=\"width: 1280px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-57949 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/www.its.ac.id\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2021\/04\/WhatsApp-Image-2021-04-07-at-14.06.51.jpeg\" alt=\"Prof Aries Sulisetyono ST MA SC PhD ketika menyampaikan orasi ilmiahnya saat pengukuhan\" width=\"1280\" height=\"658\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.its.ac.id\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2021\/04\/WhatsApp-Image-2021-04-07-at-14.06.51.jpeg 1280w, https:\/\/www.its.ac.id\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2021\/04\/WhatsApp-Image-2021-04-07-at-14.06.51-300x154.jpeg 300w, https:\/\/www.its.ac.id\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2021\/04\/WhatsApp-Image-2021-04-07-at-14.06.51-1024x526.jpeg 1024w, https:\/\/www.its.ac.id\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2021\/04\/WhatsApp-Image-2021-04-07-at-14.06.51-768x395.jpeg 768w, https:\/\/www.its.ac.id\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2021\/04\/WhatsApp-Image-2021-04-07-at-14.06.51-355x182.jpeg 355w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1280px) 100vw, 1280px\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-57949\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Prof. Aries Sulisetyono, S.T., M.A., S.C., Ph.D ketika menyampaikan orasi ilmiahnya saat pengukuhan<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Dalam penelitian ini dikembangkan tiga program yakni pertama, Program Simulasi Gerakan Kapal (PSG) yang berfungsi untuk menyimulasikan gerakan kapal dalam 6 derajat kebebasan menggunakan pendekatan <em>Green\u2019s Function Method<\/em>. Dengan metode tersebut, program ini terbukti mampu mempercepat komputasi dan memperkecil kesalahan dibanding metode numerik lainnya dengan nilai RMSE (tingkat kesalahan hasil prediksi) sebesar 0,05 dan <em>elapse time<\/em>\u00a028 kali lebih cepat.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Lebih jauh, program PSG ini dapat memperkirakan peluang kapal mengalami <em>slamming<\/em>\u00a0(<em>impact<\/em>\u00a0pada dasar kapal) dan <em>deck wetness<\/em>\u00a0(air laut naik ke geladak), menghitung hambatan gelombang, dan operabilitas kapal. \u201cProgram ini masih dalam bentuk kode dan dalam proses dikembangkan menjadi aplikasi yang mudah digunakan,\u201d ungkap lulusan master dan doktoral dari Dalhousie University, Kanada ini.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Kedua, Program Simulasi Manuver Kapal (PSM) yang dikembangkan untuk menyimulasikan gerakan manuver kapal dalam rangka mengevaluasi kemampuan desain kapal dalam melakukan manuver sesuai dengan standar IMO. \u201cProgram ini bertujuan menghasilkan lintasan manuver kapal dalam gerakan melingkar (<em>turning<\/em>) dan <em>zig-zag<\/em>\u00a0akibat gaya-gaya yang bekerja seperti <em>inertia<\/em>,\u201d paparnya.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_57954\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-57954\" style=\"width: 1024px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-57954 size-large\" src=\"https:\/\/www.its.ac.id\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2021\/04\/WhatsApp-Image-2021-04-07-at-14.50.58-1024x518.jpeg\" alt=\"Model kapal corvette dan instrumen kendali\" width=\"1024\" height=\"518\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.its.ac.id\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2021\/04\/WhatsApp-Image-2021-04-07-at-14.50.58-1024x518.jpeg 1024w, https:\/\/www.its.ac.id\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2021\/04\/WhatsApp-Image-2021-04-07-at-14.50.58-300x152.jpeg 300w, https:\/\/www.its.ac.id\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2021\/04\/WhatsApp-Image-2021-04-07-at-14.50.58-768x388.jpeg 768w, https:\/\/www.its.ac.id\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2021\/04\/WhatsApp-Image-2021-04-07-at-14.50.58-355x180.jpeg 355w, https:\/\/www.its.ac.id\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2021\/04\/WhatsApp-Image-2021-04-07-at-14.50.58.jpeg 1200w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-57954\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Model kapal corvette dan instrumen kendali<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Pendekatan program ini menggunakan <em>Open Free Running Model Test<\/em>\u00a0yang merupakan pengujian model di kolam terbuka yang tenang.
