Transisi energi kini tengah bergerak menuju penggunaan energi terbarukan serta elektrifikasi. Hal tersebut, dibahas lebih lanjut pada kuliah tamu yang diadakan Departemen Teknik Mesin Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS), Jumat (26\/3).<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Wakil Presiden Pengembangan dan Standardisasi Teknologi PT Perusahaan Listrik Negara (PLN), Dr Zainal Arifin menjelaskan bahwa transisi energi adalah proses perubahan pola bagaimana energi diolah untuk kemudian dimanfaatkan, yang mana saat ini energi bahan bakar fosil mulai digantikan oeh energi terbarukan. \u201cKita bisa melihat <em>key milestone<\/em> transisi energi bermula dari <em>Kyoto<\/em> <em>Protocol <\/em>di tahun 1997,\u201d paparnya.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_57508\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-57508\" style=\"width: 1366px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-57508\" src=\"https:\/\/www.its.ac.id\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2021\/03\/gambar-2-1.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"1366\" height=\"768\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.its.ac.id\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2021\/03\/gambar-2-1.png 1366w, https:\/\/www.its.ac.id\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2021\/03\/gambar-2-1-300x169.png 300w, https:\/\/www.its.ac.id\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2021\/03\/gambar-2-1-768x432.png 768w, https:\/\/www.its.ac.id\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2021\/03\/gambar-2-1-1024x576.png 1024w, https:\/\/www.its.ac.id\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2021\/03\/gambar-2-1-355x200.png 355w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1366px) 100vw, 1366px\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-57508\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Dr Zainal Arifin, Wakil Presiden Pengembangan dan Standardisasi Teknologi PT PLN sedang menyampaikan materi terkait perkembangan dan <em>key milestone<\/em> dari transisi energi.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p><em>Kyoto<\/em> <em>P<\/em><em>rotocol<\/em> sendiri merupakan perjanjian bersama antar negara untuk mengurangi emisi gas rumah kaca dalam mengatasi pemanasan global. Perjanjian ini memicu munculnya elektrifikasi atau pemakaian tenaga listrik pada alat-alat tertentu, seperti penggunaan energi angin, penggunaan energi matahari, penggunaan energi baterai dan sebagainya. Semenjak itu penggunaan energi terbarukan mulai diperhatikan, bahkan berkembang dengan cepat.<\/p>\n<p>Dengan adanya dorongan proses digitalisasi teknologi, elektrifikasi di berbagai sektor mulai menjamur. Saat ini penggunaan listrik berkelanjutan di seluruh dunia telah mencapai 26% dan pada 2050 diperkirakan akan \u00a0mencapai 86%. \u201cKita bisa melihat tren ini pada perkembangan mobil listrik, yang pada 2015 hanya berjumlah 500 ribu unit, sekarang sudah mencapai lebih dari 2 juta unit,\u201d ungkap Zainal.<\/p>\n<p>Lebih lanjut, alumnus Teknik Mesin ITS itu menjelaskan bahwa industri otomotif kini mulai beralih mengembangkan kendaraan listrik, mereka mulai gencar memproduksi baterai mobil listrik. Selain itu, penggunaan bahan bakar fosil juga mulai ditinggalkan. Bukan tanpa sebab, ia menyampaikan bahwa saat ini isu kelestarian lingkungan juga semakin diperhatikan. \u201cKarena itu pasar penjualan dan konsumen untuk bahan bakar fosil juga makin berkurang,\u201d tambahnya.<\/p>\n<p>Dalam penjabarannya, Senior Lecture di Institut Teknologi PLN itu juga menyampaikan bahwa perubahan tren ini memengaruhi peluang kerja di setiap industri. Menurutnya, dengan meningkatnya elektrifikasi akan banyak jenis pekerjaan yang diambil alih oleh mesin, teknologi digital, dan alat-alat otomatis. Selain itu, suku cadang pada alat-alat listrik bakal lebih sedikit sehingga industri penghasil suku cadang juga akan semakin berkurang.<\/p>\n<p>Sebagai contoh, ia menyebutkan banyak perusahaan berfokus pada bahan bakar fosil yang awalnya punya target berdiri selama 25 tahun justru terpaksa tutup 20 tahun lebih awal.
