Wang, Rezki El Arif, dan dua mahasiswa lainnya<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<blockquote><p><b>Kampus ITS, ITS News \u2014 <\/b>Teknologi radar mulai banyak dikembangkan di berbagai bidang, khususnya sebagai alat kedokteran. Menyadari pentingnya pemahaman mekanisme kerja radar akan hal tersebut, Departemen Teknik Biomedik, Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS) gelar kuliah tamu bertajuk \u201cRadar Technology for Medical Applications\u201d secara daring pada Rabu (17\/03) lalu.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Diundang sebagai pembicara, Rezki El Arif menjelaskan terkait mekanisme kerja teknologi radar yang saat ini dikembangkan bersama Prof Tzyy-Sheng Horng untuk memonitor pernapasan manusia. Selain itu, kuliah tamu ini juga dilaksanakan untuk mendukung mahasiswa yang ingin mendalami bidang pengelolaan sinyal biomedik lebih lanjut.<\/p>\n<p>Dalam pemaparannya, Rezki mengungkapkan bahwa radar yang ia dan tim pilih adalah jenis <i>self-injection-locked<\/i> (SIL) radar. Jenis radar tersebut memiliki tingkat sensitivitas yang tinggi sehingga menghasilkan data yang akurat. \u201cSelain itu, radar ini menggunakan satu antena sebagai pemancar sekaligus penerima sinyal sehingga lebih ekonomis,\u201d tutur mahasiswa National Sun Yat-Sen University Taiwan ini.<\/p>\n<p>Rezki kemudian menjelaskan mekanisme kerja radar pada objek yang sedang berdiri tanpa melakukan aktivitas apapun. Pertama, radar membangkitkan sinyal awal melalui <i>local oscillator<\/i> (LO) dan kemudian diteruskan ke <i>power splitter<\/i> (SP) yang akan membagi sinyal ke <i>mixer<\/i> dan antena pemancar (TX-Antenna).<\/p>\n<p>Selanjutnya, TX-Antenna memancarkan sinyal ke objek yang diamati. Untuk menghitung pernapasan manusia, radar diletakkan di dada. Sinyal yang menabrak tubuh akan dipantulkan dan ditangkap oleh antena penerima (RX-Antenna). Sebelum ditangkap RX-Antenna, ada kemungkinan radar mengalami penundaan yang mengakibatkan pergeseran frekuensi gelombang sinyal. \u201cGelombang sinyal kemudian diolah menggunakan persamaan fisika,\u201d jelasnya.<\/p>\n<p>Langkah terakhir, yaitu pengolahan data hasil turunan persamaan fisika menggunakan sistem <i>frequency demodulator<\/i>. Penurunan rumus akan menghasilkan grafik yang menunjukkan gerakan naik turun paru-paru manusia per detik saat melakukan pernapasan. EBG berfungsi untuk mengurangi distraksi akibat gesekan dengan kulit, sedangkan FSS untuk mengurangi distraksi akibat pergerakan objek.<\/p>\n<p>Selain itu, ditambahkan pula\u00a0 <i>left-hand circularly polarization<\/i> (LHCP) wave dan <i>right-hand circularly polarization<\/i> (RHCP) wave.
