Melihat hal tersebut, tim Gold Digger Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS) merancang <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">oil rig<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> (struktur pengeboran lepas pantai untuk mendapatkan minyak bumi, red) yang mampu bertahan di situasi tersebut.<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Ketua tim Gold Digger, Alhafiz Taufiqul Hakim menyebutkan jika ia bersama empat rekan timnya membuat rancangan <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">oil rig <\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">di lingkungan perairan ekstrem yakni Bay Du Nord, Kanada. Ia berkata, kondisi ekstrem di perairan tersebut terlihat dari kedalaman yang mencapai 1000 hingga 1200 meter. Selain itu, suhu di area tersebut mampu menginjak angka -12 derajat celcius. \u201cBahkan, kecepatan anginnya relatif tinggi dan gelombang lautnya pun termasuk besar,\u201d tuturnya.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Berangkat dari sana, Alhafiz dan tim merancang <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">oil rig<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> yang mampu menahan lingkungan ekstrem tersebut. Mereka melengkapi rancangan <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">oil rig <\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">tersebut dengan Impressed Current Cathodic Protection (ICCP) dengan Mix Metal Oxide (MMO) Titanium Substrat. Ia berkata, alat pengganti ini merupakan alat sejenis katrol yang mampu melakukan pengeboran dan pemasangan <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">casing<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> pada sumur minyak di saat bersamaan.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Di sisi lain, tim ini juga merancang alat keselamatan kerja di lapangan berupa Immersion Suit. Alhafiz menerangkan, baju ini berfungsi untuk melindungi pekerja dari suhu dingin serta percikan api. \u201cJadi, eksistensi baju pelindung ini semakin menambah nilai pelengkap dalam menghadapi kondisi ekstrem,\u201d papar mahasiswa ini.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Alhafiz dan tim meyakini, rancangan <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">oil rig<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> dengan teknologi canggih milik mereka tidak termasuk mahal. Meskipun harus merogoh kocek lebih di awal, penerapan teknologi mereka mampu menghemat waktu pengeboran serta instalasi. Bersama Alhafiz, tim ini beranggotakan mahasiswa lintas departemen yakni, Muhammad Amroedhia Dzulfiqar Erran, Alvina Choirun Nisa, Fitra Muhammad Afla, serta Fitria Sabrina Tsani.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Ke depannya, Alhafiz berharap tim Gold Digger dapat terus mengikuti kompetisi ORDC lainnya.
