Metode Georadar merupakan salah satu contoh pengukuran Geofisika yang Ia paparkan dalam Kuliah Tamu Departemen Teknik Geofisika Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS), Senin (15\/3).<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Dijelaskan oleh Taufiq, sapaan akrabnya, metode Georadar dapat dimanfaatkan dalam perencanaan, pelaksanaan, hingga pengelolaan bendungan. Perannya semakin penting lantaran kebutuhan akan bendungan semakin tinggi sementara pemilihan lokasi pembangunannya semakin sedikit. Selain itu, Ia juga mengungkapkan bahwa pengukuran Geofisika juga dapat digunakan untuk mengidentifikasi adanya amblesan di sebuah bendungan.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Ia juga berbagi pengalaman tatkala mulai menggunakan metode Georadar untuk mencari solusi Bendungan Sutami yang mengalami deformasi. Ditambah lagi, pengukuran geofisika juga dapat digunakan dalam bidang-bidang lainnya. \u201cMaka dari itu, penerapan ilmu Geofisika dalam bidang infrastruktur harus mulai diakui dan digunakan secara masif,\u201d tuturnya.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Selain untuk infrastruktur sumber daya air, menurut Taufiq, pengukuran Geofisika juga memiliki cakupan di bidang lain di Kementerian PUPR.
