ITS Campus, ITS News<\/strong> – Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS) is again proving to be one of the world’s top universities. This was shown by successfully rising its ranking in the Engineering &Technology category in the Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) World University Rankings (WUR)<\/a> by Subject 2021 which was released on Thursday (4\/3).<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

QS WUR by subject 2021 was launched virtually at an on-demand webinar event with 51 scientific fields grouped in five broad subject areas, namely Art &Humanities, Engineering and Technology, Life Sciences &Medicine, Natural Sciences, and Social Sciences &Management.<\/p>\n

Senior Manager of World Class University Affairs Of ITS Rulli Pratiwi Setiawan ST MSc Ph.D. revealed this year’s assessment aspect consists of four indicators. These include Academic Reputation, Employer Reputation, Citations per Paper, and H-Index Citations.<\/p>\n

In the assessment criteria, lecturers of the Department of Urban and Regional Planning (PWK) ITS<\/a> explained, each field of science in QS WUR by Subject has a different assessment weight. But for scientific fields included in the scope of Engineering and Technology will have the same weight for each indicator, with 40 percent for Academic Reputation, 30 percent for Employer Reputation, 15 percent for Citations per Paper, and 15 percent for H-Index Citations.<\/p>\n

ITS Ranking in QS World University Rankings 2021 in Engineering &Technology<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

For the engineering and technology category, ITS was ranked 401 \u2013 450 in QS WUR by Subject 2021. The ranking is improved compared to QS WUR by Subject 2020 which is still ranked 451 \u2013 500 for the same field. In this field, ITS scored 66.30 for the Academic Reputation criteria. While on the criteria employer reputation ITS got a score of 65.30; Citations per Paper scored 55.20, and the H-index Citations criteria scored 42.40.<\/p>\n

“There are three more specific scientific fields, where ITS is included in the top 500 QS WUR by Subject 2021, namely Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science &Information System, and Electrical &Electronic,” said Rulli.<\/p>\n

In the field of Computer Science &Information System, Rulli continued, this year ITS has been ranked 401 – 450 in the world compared to 2020 which is ranked 451 – 500 in the world. ITS successfully got a total score of 53.7 in this field. Academic Reputation scored 41.20; Employer Reputation criteria scored 61.40; Citations per Paper scored 62.40, and the H-Index Citations criteria scored 62.70.<\/p>\n

In addition, in the field of Mechanical Engineering, ITS maintains its ranking in the world ranking of 351 \u2013 400. The total score obtained by ITS is 45.7. In this field, ITS scored 38.60 for Academic Reputation criteria, employer reputation scored 61.50: Citations per Paper scored 41.00, and the H-Index Citations criteria scored 37.80.<\/p>\n

Furthermore, in the field of Electrical &Electronic, ITS is ranked 451 – 500 in the world in 2021. In this field, ITS got a total score of 47.4. Where on the criteria Academic Reputation got a score of 44.80; Employer Reputation criteria scored 69.00; Citations per Paper scored 35.00, and the H-Index Citations criteria scored 23.80.<\/p>\n

The women who are also an ITS alumnus added, the domestic rankings are still unknown because the detailed score of each indicator QS WUR by Subject 2021 for each college also has not appeared.<\/p>\n
