Terkait hal itu, Ikatan Alumni Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember di Luar Negeri (IKA-ITS LN) bersama Pusat Penelitian Energi Berkelanjutan Direktorat Riset dan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (DRPM) ITS menggelar seminar umum bertajuk \u201c<i>Reservoir Modelling<\/i>\u201d pada Sabtu, (6\/3) lalu secara daring. Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk memperdalam ilmu dan wawasan dalam bidang geotermal tentang pemodelan reservoir.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Diundang sebagai pembicara dalam seminar ini, Dr Asnul Bahar memaparkan materi tentang pemodelan reservoir berdasarkan pengalamannya sebagai konsultan utama dalam teknik reservoir. Dalam pemaparannya, beliau membahas mulai dari pengenalan tentang pemodelan reservoir secara umum hingga studi kasus yang berkaitan dengan hal tersebut.<\/p>\n<p>Asnul, sapaan akrabnya, menjelaskan bahwa teknik pemodelan reservoir dalam bidang geotermal hampir mirip pengaplikasiannya dengan bidang minyak dan gas. Asnul memaparkan, pada tahap model statis akan dilakukan pengintegrasian berbagai macam data, baik dari segi geologi, geofisika, teknik reservoir, dan sebagainya ke dalam satu model. \u201cHal itulah yang menjadi tantangan dalam pelaksanaannya,\u201d ujar pria berkacamata itu.<\/p>\n<p>Kemudian, pada tahap <i>upscaling<\/i> akan dilakukan penyederhanaan data dari tahap sebelumnya. Asnul menerangkan, hal itu dilakukan karena keseluruhan data tersebut memiliki tingkat kompleksitas yang cukup tinggi jika akan dilanjutkan ke dalam tahap selanjutnya. \u201cMaka dari itu, perlu dilakukan penyederhanaan agar prosesnya berjalan dengan lancar,\u201d ungkapnya.<\/p>\n<p>Setelah melewati beberapa tahap tersebut, maka dapat dilaksanakan tahap pemodelan. Dalam tahap ini, perlu dilakukan identifikasi ketidakpastian dari model yang telah dibuat. Asnul beralasan bahwa hal itu bertujuan untuk mengetahui kemungkinan-kemungkinan yang terjadi nantinya. Hal ini disebabkan karena dalam pelaksanaannya, untuk melakukan eksplorasi sumber panas bumi tersebut perlu dilakukan pemodelan terlebih dahulu agar hasil yang didapatkan nantinya sesuai dengan apa yang diharapkan.<\/p>\n<p>Dosen Departemen Fisika ITS itu juga mengatakan, acara ini sangat bermanfaat bagi dosen dan mahasiswa, terutama bagi yang berminat dalam bidang geotermal.
