Kampus ITS, ITS News – <\/strong>Tim Banyubramanta kembali memperkenalkan robot terbarunya yaitu Robot Bawah Air dan Amfibi. Melalui acara webinar yang diadakan di platform Zoom Meeting tersebut, Tim robotik unggulan Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS) ini juga membagikan pengetahuan mengenai robot kepada peserta yang hadir.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Pada acara yang juga disiarkan langsung melalui Youtube ini, Tim Banyubramanta ITS menghadirkan Reza Maliki Akbar AMd ST sebagai pemateri. Ia menjelaskan beberapa hal yang berkaitan dengan robot barunya ini. \u201cMasing-masing robot baru ini memiliki dua macam, yaitu berjenis Remotely Automatic Vehicle<\/em> (ROV) dan Autonomous Underwater Vehicle<\/em> (AUV),\u201d ungkapnya.<\/p>\n

Maliki, sapaan akrabnya, menjelaskan bahwa terdapat perbedaan pada jenis kendali dari Robot ROV dan AUV. Robot ROV sendiri masih perlu dikendalikan secara langsung oleh manusia menggunakan perangkat. Sedangkan untuk robot jenis AUV sudah dapat bergerak secara otomatis dan tidak perlu dikendalikan oleh manusia.<\/p>\n

Selain pengenalan robot baru, ia pun sedikit menjelaskan beberapa hal yang harus diperhatikan dalam pembuatan robot bawah air. Ia menjabarkan perlunya menentukan material dan desain yang sesuai dari robot. Hal ini akan mempengaruhi gaya fisika yang nantinya akan berperan dalam kinerja robot. \u201cTerutama agar robot dapat terapung, terendam, dan tenggelam dengan baik dalam air,\u201d tambah alumnus Departemen Teknik Fisika ITS ini.<\/p>\n

Ketidaktepatan desain robot sendiri pernah dialami secara langsung oleh Maliki. Ia bahkan menyebut proses paling sulit dalam uji coba robotnya adalah ketika sudah masuk ke dalam air. Hal ini disebabkan karena akan muncul banyak permasalahan yang tidak teridentifikasi sebelumnya berkaitan dengan kinerja robot. \u201cSering kali kita menemukan masalah yang tidak diinginkan sehingga perlu banyak uji coba,\u201d jelasnya.<\/p>\n

Pada akhir sesi webinar ini, ia pun berpesan kepada seluruh mahasiswa calon insinyur muda untuk dapat menentukan tujuan utamanya sejak dini. Perlu dimilikinya cara berpikir matematis untuk menyelesaikan masalah dengan efektif dan efisien juga harus diperhatikan. \u201cDan yang paling penting adalah untuk menjadi orang yang aktif untuk terus selalu belajar dari kesalahan,\u201d tutupnya.
