Melihat permasalahan tersebut, dua mahasiswa Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS) menghadirkan sebuah solusi untuk mengoptimalkan gas karbondioksida dengan merancang sebuah teknologi membran anorganik berupa TiO2 dan Zeolit.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Mereka adalah M Aldi Nugroho dan Yoga Bekti Susanto yang merupakan mahasiswa dari <a href=\"https:\/\/www.its.ac.id\/tki\/id\/program-d-iv\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Departemen Teknologi Rekayasa Kimia Industri ITS<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.its.ac.id\/study-at-its\/faculties-and-departments\/faculty-of-vocational-studies\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Fakultas Vokasi ITS<\/a> angkatan 2020. Mereka berhasil mengoptimalkan emisi gas karbondioksida pada <em>steam reforming<\/em> industri dalam membantu mengurangi emisi gas karbondioksida di atmosfer bumi.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">M Aldi Nugroho atau biasa disapa Aldi selaku ketua tim menjelaskan, teknologi membran anorganik ini dapat mengabsorpsi gas karbondioksida di industri petrokimia dengan efektivitas yang lebih tinggi daripada teknologi konvensional yang sudah ada. \u201cTeknologi ini juga menghasilkan produk soda abu (Na2CO3) yang memiliki banyak manfaat di sektor industrial,\u201d ungkap mahasiswa asal Kediri ini.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Sambung Aldi, dalam penerapan teknologinya nanti gas karbondioksida dari <em>steam reformer<\/em> akan dialirkan menuju membran TiO2 untuk dilakukan absorpsi gas karbondioksida dengan menggunakan larutan NaOH. Sedang untuk gas karbondioksida yang telah diabsorpsi dengan pelarut NaOH selanjutnya akan ditampung dalam tangki penampung karbondioksida dan absorben (cairan yang dapat melarutkan bahan yang akan diabsorpsi pada permukaannya).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Alumnus SMKN 1 Kediri ini menjelaskan bahwa rancang bangun teknologi membran yang dibuatnya ini memiliki beberapa keunggulan inovasi mulai dari harga yang murah, tidak membutuhkan tempat yang luas dalam penggunaannya, membutuhkan energi yang rendah, dan memiliki efisiensi penyerapan gas karbondioksida sekitar 80 &#8211; 85 persen.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Berbuah manis, tim bimbingan Dr Afan Hamzah ST ini telah berhasil menjadi yang terbaik pada Lomba Karya Tulis Ilmiah RESPON 2021 yang diselenggarakan oleh<a href=\"https:\/\/www.pon.co.id\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"> PT Petro Oxo Nusantara<\/a>, Minggu lalu.
