Berangkat dari permasalahan tersebut, ketiga mahasiswa <a href=\"https:\/\/www.its.ac.id\/instrumentasi\/id\/beranda\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Departemen Teknik Instrumentasi<\/a>, Fakultas Vokasi, Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS) menggagas inovasi alat hidroponik serbaguna berbasis Internet of Things (IoT).<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Mereka adalah Dewi Sugiharti Ningrum, Yeni Dwi Cahyani, dan Mochamad Royan Nasrulloh. Menurut Dewi Sugiharti Ningrum, ketua tim, hidroponik rancangan timnya ini berbeda dengan yang ada sekarang, sebab dapat diterapkan untuk semua jenis tanaman. Selain itu hidroponik miliknya ini juga dilengkapi dengan teknologi IoT. \u201cSehingga kami memberi nama hidroponik rancangan kami dengan sebutan HIRARKI,&#8221; ujarnya.<\/p>\n<p>Lebih lanjut, mahasiswi kelahiran tahun 2000 ini menyebutkan, HIRARKI merupakan akronim dari Hidroponik Serbaguna Berbasis Internet of Things. Dikatakan serbaguna sebab hidroponik ini dapat melakukan pengaturan nutrisi dan debit air untuk berbagai macam tanaman secara otomatis. \u201cHal ini dikarenakan HIRARKI memiliki sistem database terkait nutrisi dan debit air tanaman,\u201d jelasnya.<\/p>\n<p>Lanjut Dewi, HIRARKI juga dilengkapi dengan beberapa elemen otomatis seperti pompa air dengan motor servo sebagai aktuatornya (perangkat mekanis untuk mengontrol sistem, red). Selain itu juga terdapat arduino uno yang berfungsi sebagai kontroler. \u201cSistem kerja elemen tersebut lebih pada aksi ketika tidak sesuai dengan target hidroponik yang sudah ditentukan,\u201d jelas mahasiswi angkatan 2018 ini.<\/p>\n<p>Dewi menambahkan, hidroponik buatannya ini juga dipasang sensor TDS meter dan flowmeter FS300a. Sensor TDS sendiri digunakan untuk mengukur nutrisi yang terkandung dalam air berupa ppm, sedang flowmeter FS300a berfungsi untuk mendeteksi laju aliran air yg dipompakan ke hidroponik. Terdapat empat fitur utama yakni pilih tanaman, monitoring nutrisi, monitoring laju aliran, dan monitoring pendeteksi hama. \u201cDengan satu klik saja kita bisa memantau tanaman yang kita tanam di HIRARKI,\u201d imbuhnya.<\/p>\n<p>Pada sistem aplikasinya nanti, pengguna akan dapat memilih tanaman apa yang akan ditanam. Ketika sudah memilih tanaman, maka aktuator pada HIRARKI akan secara otomatis menyesuaikan nutrisi dan debit air sesuai database mengenai tanaman yang telah dipilih. Sehingga tingkat keberhasilan tumbuhnya suatu tanaman akan lebih besar dengan pemberian nutrisi dan air yang tepat.<\/p>\n<p>Saat ditanya keunggulan HIRARKI, alumnus SMAN 5 Surabaya ini menyebutkan bahwa hidroponik buatannya ini memiliki keunggulan dibanding hidroponik lainnya yakni satu alat untuk semua jenis tanaman. Tim bimbingan dosen Dr. Ir. Totok Soehartanto D.E.A., ini telah berhasil meraih juara ketiga pada Lomba Karya Tulis Ilmiah Agrifasco yang diselenggarakan oleh Himpunan Mahasiswa Rekayasa Pertanian ITB, minggu lalu. Pada kompetisi ini, Dewi dan tim berhasil mengungguli 10 finalis lainnya yang terseleksi dari 63 paper nasional.<\/p>\n<p>Melalui karyanya ini, Dewi berharap dengan adanya alat ini akan membantu petani tetap produktif di daerah perkotaan. Sehingga masyarakat dapat mengoptimalkan lahan sempit untuk bercocok tanam.
