ITS Campus, ITS News – <\/strong>As the forefront of delivering information and news at the Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS), ITS Public Communication Unit (UKP) should continue to be alert in carrying out its duties. As proof of his hard work throughout 2020, UKP ITS, commonly called ITS Public Relations, successfully received three national awards from the Directorate General of Higher Education (Dikti) of the Ministry of Education and Culture (Kemdikbud) RI.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

It was announced on Wednesday (23\/12) night at the 2020 Higher Education Public Relations Award (AHD), which was conducted online via the Ditjen Dikti youtube channel, UKP ITS received three awards at once. Namely as the 1st Best in the Press Conference & Press Release Category for PTN-BH, the 2nd Best in the Page Category for PTN-BH, and the 2nd Best in the Social Media Category for PTN-BH. This award received is proof of ITS superiority in disseminating information in the national scope.<\/p>\n

Head of UKP ITS Anggra Ayu Rucitra ST MMT explained that the award received shows the university’s seriousness and readiness in managing its public relations. Also, as the spearhead of news and information dissemination, public relations in a university has a significant role in creating a positive image in the institution.<\/p>\n

In general, she continued, a lot of efforts have been made by UKP ITS in carrying out its duties in public relations. Holding press conferences, managing websites, and social media are some of the media used to benefit from policy dissemination, promotion, and information. “The information conveyed also varies, including achievements, community service, innovation, clarification, and many more,” said Anggra.<\/p>\n

Unmitigated, during his tenure since January 2020, UKP ITS has also made many innovations to develop ITS information dissemination. Some of them are integrating the ITS Media Center, which consists of social media, websites (pages), and news. Then, UKP ITS also formed a public relations contact in work units within ITS. The formation of this contact person is intended to facilitate the delivery of information to UKP ITS to be disseminated to the public.<\/p>\n

Besides, UKP ITS also optimizes ITS Service Desk as a medium for applying for coverage or news services by this unit. By utilizing the ITS Service Desk, all ITS academicians can make requests for content easily. “With this service, requests for coverage or news will be processed immediately within 24 hours,” explained the lecturer at the ITS Interior Design Department.<\/p>\n

Not to be missed, in the social media aspect, Anggra said that the social media team would evaluate and follow up on content in various ITS media and adjust to the segment of media users. Innovations such as new content, for example, ITS Fun, ITS Fact, and the uniformity of design between ITS social media and the ITS website.<\/p>\n

Even though it has received a satisfactory award, the unit directly supervised by the ITS Secretary (Sekits) and ITS Chancellor will undoubtedly continue to carry out various evaluations related to its performance. Improving yourself and adapting to all changes in media conditions is something that must be prepared.<\/p>\n

Responding to this award, this graduate of the ITS Technology Management Masters is very grateful to the ITS UKP team, which consists of student elements such as the ITS Online team, ITS TV, ITS Website, ITS Medsos, and the Design Team who have worked very hard to reach this stage. “Hopefully, we can maintain our performance and also strive to innovate in delivering the latest and reliable news and information to the general public to raise a positive image of ITS,” said Anggra optimistically.
