Kali ini inovasi yang dihadirkan dalam bentuk roda kemudi ramah lingkungan yang juga diharapkan dapat mengurangi angka kecelakaan lalu lintas di Indonesia.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Beranggotakan Ahmad Fahmi Prakoso (Teknik Material dan Metalurgi 2018), Ibrahim Fatahillah Hizbul Islam (Teknik Material dan Metalurgi 2018), Gilang Maulana Alif (Teknik Kimia Industri 2018), Humaiera (Teknik Material dan Metalurgi 2019), dan Millads Anwary Fandiaz (Teknik Fisika 2019). Kelimanya berhasil menggagas Antasena BICOSW, yaitu inovasi roda kemudi berbahan dasar komposit ramah lingkungan.<\/p>\n<p>Ahmad Fahmi Prakoso, ketua tim, mengatakan bahwa roda kemudi buatan timnya terbuat dari limbah cangkang kupang merah dan tandan kelapa sawit. Bahan ini dipilih karena keberadaan limbah-limbah tersebut terbilang cukup melimpah di Indonesia. Material komposit hijau yang terkandung di dalamnya memiliki sifat termal dan mekanik yang baik. Hal ini menjadikan roda kemudi dapat tahan lama dalam penggunaanya. \u201cKami sudah melakukan uji analisis dan simulasi terhadap ketahanan material ini,\u201d imbuhnya.<\/p>\n<p>Mahasiswa asal Depok ini menjelaskan, roda kemudi buatan timnya tidak hanya ramah lingkungan, tetapi juga juga dinilai dapat mengurangi angka kecelakaan lalu lintas di Indonesia. Hal ini dikarenakan roda tersebut memiliki sistem alarm anti kantuk bagi para pengendara. Sistem alarm ini menggunakan sensor mata dalam mekanisme kerjanya.<\/p>\n<p>Mahasiswa angkatan 2018 ini menyebutkan bahwa sistem alarm akan mendeteksi pengemudi saat mulai mengantuk. Saat sudah terdeteksi, alarm akan berbunyi memberi peringatan kepada pengemudi. \u201cDengan begitu, sistem alarm ini dapat membuat pengemudi tetap fokus dalam berkendara,\u201d imbuhnya.<\/p>\n<p>Alumnus SMA Negeri 1 Depok ini menyampaikan bahwa berkat inovasi tersebut, Tim Antasena ITS mendapat penghargaan Bronze Medal dalam ajang <em>International Applied Science Project Olympiad<\/em> (I2ASPO), Desember lalu. Fahmi meyakini bahwa inovasinya menjadi istimewa karena manfaat yang disuguhkan oleh roda kemudi ini sangat berguna bagi masyarakat.<\/p>\n<p>Fahmi berharap inovasi dari timnya ini dapat segera diwujudkan dan dikembangkan di Indonesia.
