Kegagalan tersebut tentunya berdampak terhadap proses produksi migas, ekosistem laut, dan keselamatan manusia. Berangkat dari hal tersebut, tiga mahasiswa Departemen Teknik Kelautan Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS) menggagas ide bertajuk Peningkatan Akurasi Prediksi Kedalaman dan Laju Propagasi Scour Pipa Bawah Laut.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Muhammad Rizky Syarifudin, selaku ketua tim, memaparkan bahwa akurasi yang tinggi dalam memprediksi penggerusan sedimen pada pipa bawah laut perlu dilakukan untuk meminimalisir risiko kegagalan. Untuk itu, dirinya bersama dua anggota lainnya, yakni Widi Utami dan Maulana Akbar Ramadhani berupaya menggunakan metode kombinasi <em>Computational Fluid Dynamics dan Artificial Neural Network<\/em> (CFD-ANN) untuk meningkatkan akurasi prediksi.<\/p>\n<p>Pria yang akrab disapa Rizky itu menjelaskan, CFD merupakan sekumpulan metodologi yang menggunakan komputer untuk melakukan simulasi aliran fluida, perpindahan panas, dan reaksi kimia. \u201cSelain itu, digunakan pula untuk simulasi fenomena aliran lain dengan memecahkan persamaan Navier-Stokes secara numerik,\u201d lontarnya.<\/p>\n<p>Berbeda dengan CFD, ANN atau yang lebih dikenal sebagai Jaringan Saraf Tiruan merupakan sebuah teknik atau pendekatan pengolahan informasi yang terinspirasi oleh cara kerja sistem saraf biologis, khususnya pada sel otak manusia dalam memproses informasi. \u201cMetode yang kami gunakan dalam mengerjakan penelitian ini masih sebatas studi literatur, dimana dalam pengembangan metode kombinasinya berupa <em>narrative review<\/em>,\u201d tambah laki-laki asal Surabaya tersebut.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_55033\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-55033\" style=\"width: 1366px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-55033\" src=\"https:\/\/www.its.ac.id\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2021\/01\/325445_0.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1366\" height=\"768\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.its.ac.id\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2021\/01\/325445_0.jpg 1366w, https:\/\/www.its.ac.id\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2021\/01\/325445_0-300x169.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.its.ac.id\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2021\/01\/325445_0-768x432.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.its.ac.id\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2021\/01\/325445_0-1024x576.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/www.its.ac.id\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2021\/01\/325445_0-355x200.jpg 355w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1366px) 100vw, 1366px\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-55033\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Ilustrasi penggerusan sedimen pada pipa bawah laut.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Dalam mengimplementasikan gagasannya, imbuh Rizky, langkah awal perlu dilakukan adalah melakukan simulasi CFD sesuai kondisi pipa bawah laut. Penggerusan sedimen biasanya tak hanya terjadi pada satu potongan pipa, namun penggerusan ini akan menyebar pada sepanjang pipa dan menyebabkan bentangan bebas (<em>free span<\/em>). \u201cProses penyebaran itulah yang kita kenal dengan sebutan propagasi <em>scour<\/em>,\u201d ujarnya kepada Tim ITS Online saat dihubungi melalui pesan singkat.<\/p>\n<p>Selanjutnya, hasil simulasi CFD tersebut akan dijadikan input pada model ANN untuk dianalisis kesalahan simulasinya. \u201cKemampuan ANN yang baik dalam melakukan <em>training <\/em>data membuat nilai <em>error<\/em> yang didapatkan akan semakin kecil,\u201d tuturnya.<\/p>\n<p>Alumnus SMA Negeri 11 Surabaya itu mengaku, sebelumnya memang sudah terdapat beberapa penelitian serupa. Namun, mayoritas masih menggunakan simulasi CFD saja dalam penerapannya. \u201cSayangnya, meski rampung dengan baik, metode tersebut dinilai masih memiliki nilai <em>error<\/em> sebesar 22 persen akibat parameter modelnya,\u201d \u00a0ungkapnya.<\/p>\n<p>Dalam prosesnya, penelitian ini sempat terkendala karena tidak berhasil melakukan simulasi secara langsung. Hal tersebut dikarenakan luaran penelitian ini hanya berupa <em>narrative review<\/em> saja, sehingga dalam meramu berbagai literatur diperlukan ketelitian dan kehati-hatian. \u201cDalam melakukan penelitian ini, saya banyak dibantu oleh Ibu Wimala Lalitya Dhanistha, ST MT, dan beberapa dosen penalaran lainnya,\u201d bebernya.<\/p>\n<p>Meskipun memiliki kendala, penelitian ini sukses menyabet medali perak dalam kompetisi Pekan Ilmiah Mahasiswa Nasional (PIMNAS) 33 pada November lalu. Rizky dan kedua rekannya pun berharap, penelitian ini dapat dibuktikan dan diimplementasikan dengan membuat model CFD-ANN secara langsung. \u201cJika model berhasil, maka dapat diterapkan pada salah satu pipa bawah laut di Indonesia untuk proses inspeksi prediksi gerusan sedimen,\u201d pungkasnya.
